Just don't get why they did this..if they wanted a reboot, why not just redo DMC1 with Ps3/xbox 360 graphics?
This just isn't fair on the fans, i've been waiting for a true sequel to DMC2 for a while..i bit my teeth and played through DMC4, a smile creeped on my face when i saw Dante but alas..it wasn't the sequel i hoped. I was like "okay, the next one..it's going to be a sequel to DMC2..Ooo maybe even get Virgil into the scene.." and did it happen? nope..we get this! WTH!

Also I don't see the link between this guy and Edward from Twilight.
Can't remember Edward having this 'meth-look' u guys talk about. He was pale, sure..but vampire-pale, and they also made Edward wear make-up and stuff which gave him a bit of a femine look.
This other Dante guy though is totally not femine. He looks messed up mentally and physically. Which is why I think the character is so different from other games...and very interesting already.
Why is he locked up in a mental house? Whats his problem with the guy who's asking him for his name? Why doesnt he answer right away?
Storywise I know I will like this alot. Someone mentioned earlier that he might 'think' he is Dante and imagining all this stuff in his head. That alone would to me be an interesting concept for a game.

Since 6682 Daysit's the annoying things really, i mean why make Dante look like that, he looks like a heroin addicted crackhead. If you are going to take over a beloved fan franchise, atleast give fans who made the game what it is, something to relate.
The smoking? Dante loves his strawberry sundaes and laid back attitude, he's a demon slayer with style!
And then the setting, looks grunge rather than the gothic landscapes and references
hmm, it's like Dante was the stereotype badass anime guy you would get from the east, now they turned him into a stereotype moody western "badass".
Bah, sure it's called Devil May Cry but you ever seen that South park episode where Stan and his pals go and see Indy 4? they witness what Lucas and Spielberg did to Indy? that's how i feel..even though all we have seen is a teaser, that's how i feel
