Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

Need for Speed: Shift is out in two weeks. Tremors. To help the wait, EA put us litterally under the skin of a pilot with this ad we'll see on TV soon, nervous mix of gameplay and CGI. Short, efficient, we like.

same here... pretty sure online will be mayhem. not that it would be unusual but surprisingly the remaining crowd who still plays GRID, mostly tries to avoid crashing into you, which is nice.

Have to agree with Nietsche on this one as well, except that judging from the crappy reputation of the NFS franchise I don't really have very high hopes, just low expectations that I would love to see exceeded.

trailer looks like a lot of fun, but i doubt they would be able to achieve these graphics with a high sense of speed. Like mentioned above : High hopes, low expectations.

this game seem to focus on the in car dash view too much and to me i dont find that game breaking as most racing games are doing it these days. I just hope this game plays better as it looks or i find this will be the end of the nfs series as most ppl will completely to loose fate in the franchise.

pretty disappointed with the GRID physics but I guess it was dumb of me to expect sim physics from a NFS game.

Well, they kept saying that it would be realistic.

Looks fine to me. I don't know how it plays, but I think there is some elitist bashing going on simply because it's got the Need For Speed name on it and it's not a sim racer. Luckily people complaining on the internet don't actually make up the majority of people who play games, although it can feel like it sometime :P "It'll be the end of the franchise if..." I don't think so, whether you like the game or not, I'm willing to bet there will be another Need for Speed game. They've been coming out since I had a PC that was only 133mhz.

This is a game that I can't make my mind up over.
The developer has a reputation for a good sim, they talk it up like it's the best sim, but the visuals/gameplay look right out of The Fast and the Furious.
The cockpit effects are just arcade tat IMO, doing 160Kph, I don't expect 'tunnel' vision to set in.
I'll await the demo, like people have said, High Hopes, low expectations.. It's this or Dirt 2 until FM3/GT5 come out.

True True good advice. I should wait for the demo. My intuition is rarely wrong but they sure haven't released any videos to make me think otherwise. I just get this GRID feeling maybe because of all the blur but also the cars in GTR2 are MUCH more dynamic than these.

Phil, Is it Kph or Mph? Doing 160mph through a tight corridor like that, I could see there being some tunnel vision.

wow these guys were part of the GTR dev team? hmmm they must know what theyre doing. maybe as a newly formed company/team they're still trying to get to grips on what direction to take? total sim vs sim with arcade touches? in any case i'm interested.
