Xbox 360

Almost 4 years day to day after the released of the ever great PGR2, Bizarre Creations finally releases a worthy successor after the midly disappointing PGR3. Enjoy these 8 new videos of Project Gotham Racing 4, that should give you a better idea of the good stuff to come. More impressions after the jump.

With a completely new career mode, a more than complete arcade mode, weather effects with a real impact on the driving, motorbikes that actually make sense gameplay-wise compared to the cars and most importantly some great new cities, Project Gotham Racing 4 is the most complete racing experience available to date. And we should take our sweet time enjoying it, since it will be the last one developed by Bizarre Creations now that they have been bought by Activision.

Also worth mentioning, the Force Feedback wheel support in PGR4 is spot on perfect, much much better than PGR3's patch.

That's a very good advert for the game. They should send you a great big, box of chocolates as a thank you.

Looks pretty amazing... I played a little of the first 3, but never fully got into any of them, but this I think I may spend a lot more time on.

Tomorrow in the US...
I was kinda surprised by this in the ign test : "Hardly a world apart from the two-year-old PGR3, but no one can deny the exquisite detail and immense beauty packed into each and every one of Gotham’s cities."
At the same time, they say earlier that it's PGR3 without the jaggies (plus weather effects) and PGR3 would have been almost perfect without them (IMO)

What's why the funky music. The music at the end of the Electric car one-on-one race reminded me of some 70s show. I was expecting Huggy Bear to get out of the car at the end of the war wearing some killer platforms

In fact when playing with the wheel you can't change the type of music (up/down is used for the wheeling in bikes), so I couldn't go to classical music. But I thought it was funny music :)

You were playing with the wheel? Impressive driving BlimBlim!!
The more I listen to the music the more it reminds me of the menu music from Gran Turismo3/4.
Looking at the videos it looks like Bizarre have improved the lighting/shading of the cars. They look more realistic now. In fact they look very much like the cars in GT5.

My only wish was that they brought back the headset feature from PGR2, damn that was smart as hell, i hate having to press the interactive button and go through the laggy 360 GUI to change track.
