Resident Evil 5

Capcom just announced that Barry Burton and Rebecca Chambers will be available as playable characters in Resident Evil 5's Gold Eidtion, or, for those of you who already own the game, in the two downloadable contents that will be released on February 17/18 and March 3/4. Images and videos inside.

Capcom released a few more images of the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 5 showing that the lovely Excella Gionne will be one of the new playable characters of the Mercenaries Mode.

You all know that Resident Evil 5 will soon get two exclusive downloadable contents and that Capcom will also release a Gold Edition of their game in the shops to make sure they don't miss anyone. Lost in Nightmare will be available on February 17 and February 18, respectively on Xbox Live and PSN while Desperate Escape will be released on March 3 and March 4. The Gold Edition will hit the shelves later on March 9. Here is a trailer introducing all the features we can expect.

Capcom sent us these images of the Desperate Escape mode of Resident Evil 5, and two videos showing a Chris ready to be a character in Brütal Legend, and a very business-like Sheva.

Capcom released these two videos of the Mercenaries Reunion mode, to be included in the next Downloadable content of Resident Evil 5 released mid February on Xbox Live and PSN.

As we find out in those first images published by the folks at Siliconera, Capcom has prepared a cosmetic surprise for future buyers of the PC version of Resident Evil 5. For Chris Redfield, a nice Mad Max total-look. For his teammate, a sexy combo of secretary suit and glasses that should remind you of a certain Dead Rising character...

Capcom unleashed Resident Evil 5 in all territories last week and we've covered it pretty good with the PS3 version and tons of gameplay videos. Here's the classic First 10 Minutes video, this time from the Xbox 360 version, showing a bit more on the story. The game itself is very good, great graphics and gameplay. Many of you probably already own the game, so feel as always free to share your impressions in the comment section.

Resident Evil 5 has just been released, but the first pay DLC has already been announced. It's a versus mode where 4 players can battle each other. Release in a few weeks for 400 points/5 euros, and first screens inside.

As promised our friend in Japan, DjMizuhara, sent us another video of Resident Evil 5, showing some gameplay and a boss fight. A fourth and last video should follow a in a few minutes.

Resident Evil 5 has been released today in Japan, and of course DjMizuhara uploaded some videos of the game (PS3 version) already. He always tells us that he didn't like the demo at all, but actually enjoys the full game quite a bit.
