Killzone 2

Sony has just confirmed that Killzone 2 will get some new DLC. Two new maps - Suljeva Cliffside and Arctower Landing - will be added as well as two weapons from the single player campaign. You will now be able to organize some friendly barbecues with the flamethrower or simply have your guests freshen up with the boltgun. A patch fixing some of the minor bugs left in the multiplayer is also planned on July 14.

There is no doubt so no game as ever been as hyped as Killzone 2 before its release, sometimes to the point that there was seemingly no way that the developers could ever manage to achieve their goal. Well now that we have the retail version in our hands, we can say that technically this is the most advanced game available on any console as of now, which is quite an achievement to say the least. In terms of gameplay too, while the game doesn't really reinvent the wheel, it's still a very polished title. The story itself isn't anything to talk about, and the characters themselves are for the most part forgettable, but it doesn't matter in the slightest. Killzone 2 is a must have for any shooter fan out there.

Just a few weeks before the game's release, Sony finally released a new trailer for Killzone 2. And what an out of the ordinary trailer it is! I don't think we really needed a reminder of how highly impressive this game can be technically, but I'm not going to complain.

The ever impressive Killzone 2 gets a new trailer named Helghan, and damn does it look great.

Killzone 2 is playable at Sony's booth, and while I don't think it's really a new demo I couldn't resist putting this footage online. The player is horrible, but damn this game just keeps impressing me technically and artistically.
