Infinite Undiscovery: Day 2

As promised, here are three more gameplay videos of Infinite Undiscovery, showing this time some much more interesting gameplay and not just the glorified toturial of the first 90 minutes of the game. Personally I didn't expect to enjoy this game at all, being a much bigger fan of turn-based RPGs, but I've been surprised by the simple yet very complete gameplay of the game, making it seem almost like a real action title during fights, but with the actual RPG side never hiding far behind. It certainly isn't perfect, and quite a few things like the lack of voices during some cutscenes is jarring, but this game is well worth taking a long and hard look at.

The first 10 minutes: Infinite Undiscovery

At first announced as a Microsoft published title, Infinite Undiscovery will in the end be released this week, or even today, by Square-Enix. As usual I rushed to record the first 10 minutes of the game, and since this game is a RPG, and a quite complex one at that, many more will follow.
Update: Added 2 more videos. Another will follow this afternoon, and one last tonight or tomorrow.
Update 2: Last video for today added, more tomorrow!

Infinite Undiscovery trailer

Infinite Undiscovery will be released in a few days in the US and a tad later everywhere else, and Square-Enix finally released a more epic trailer than the usual ones. Looking quite good, even though the framerate is quite worrying. Our own videos will follow this week-end or on monday.

Infinite Undiscovery trailer

Square-Enix released this new trailer of Infinite Undiscovery. The game is here at the Game Convention, but very difficult to film correctly because no one has any idea how to play it...

Infinite Undiscovery images

I'm sure a lot of people were anxious for this week's update of the official Japanese Infinite Undiscovery web site, and here it is. Some misc images, and three characters: Leonid, Sarande and Subaru.
Update: Looks like I made a mistake, Leonid was unveiled 3 weeks ago and the third new character this week is Toma. His images have been added.

What's up?
  • blmbox
blmbox Yeah, but judging by the content of both reviews, Eurogamer didn't particularly care much for the game anyway. They probably only gave it an 8 to avoid controversy - the review sounded more like a 6. (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 6 to 8 split on Eurogamer, which isn't quite as large but still pretty significant. (4 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yeah sure, but from what console reviews are saying it's perfectly adequate. I mean I'm sure PC is the way to go, but I sincerely doubt we're seeing a 5 to 9 split score wise or anything. (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX not that the Xbox version is "that bad" by most accounts either.. there are plenty of people here playing it who adore it.. but the PC game is recieving higher marks across the board (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @SimonM7: I doubt that's true too, if other reviews I've read are any indication. The game was designed around an interface that's not represented on the Xbox.. (4 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 I doubt PC and 360 scores would differ much in EDGE, they simply don't fancy it. DA on the 360 is fine as long as you like the underlying game. (4 Hours ago)
  • callmekymbo
callmekymbo is DA on the 360 really that bad? I can't run it on my pc so the eggbox is my only viable alternative (4 Hours ago)
