Costa Rica's last game wasn't all that either.

We deserved 2 more penalties if you call that lucky :)
And even if we didn't get that last minute penalty Mexico was defending a 1-0 lead since 60 minutes in the game.
Was only a matter of time for us to score (hence the 1-1) and they wouldn't have been able to hold out those 2 sections of 15 minutes of extra time...

True we played like crap the first half, but after that 1-0 by Mexico we started to take control and were basically constantly pressuring them.

100 degree heat on the pitch might have had something to do with that. I've played games in 70 degree heat and that's bad enough. Robben is a diving bastard, though. So much for FIFA's fair play bollocks. Ban Suarez, then be fair and ban Robben for getting the speedo's on and being stupid enough to admit to it afterwards.

I'm cold turkeying here for the quarters. No games for a few days, which is balls. The World Cup isn't a bad antidote waiting for the new Premiership season to start at least. Bad luck for the Yanks last night. Found myself wanting them to grab an equalizer to take it into pens, but not to be. Ah, well, at least now a fair few over there will "get it" now over what the game is all about and maybe help increase it's popularity.

He admit he dived on another one on the box not the one that he got call for penalty. Though I do think he did dived on the one he got call for penalty. There were another one on the first half that it was indeed a penalty but it didn't got call though.

Though diving should be penalized, it doesn't compare any way, form or shape to what Suarez did, so a banned is way too much. On Robben, FIFA should sanction a yellow card, so if he get another one on the next game and they go trough, he missed the semifinals. The rules say if you dived on a game is an automatic yellow card, so for the one Robben admit diving FIFA should sanction that.

Diving, which is just cheating, and sending a team home because of it is worse than biting someone as far as I'm concerned. It has a deeper impact on the outcome of a team in a game or competition. You can bite someone and get sent off then punished. But cheating a team out of progressing, that's just dirt. The Suarez thing has been lacking any real context from the media too. There's far worse things that have been going on and have gone on in football matches. Elbowing someone in the head has potential to do serious, if not life threatening damage. Then there's two-footed leg breaking lunges where players just go clean over the ball and straight into a players shin or knee. You can get up and walk away from a bite to the shoulder or leg, but you can't walk away from a dirty malicious tackle that had the intention to do damage. Just ask Roy Keane or Neil Ruddock who have both broken legs and ended careers, or Leonardo from the 94' World Cup when he smashed a player's face to bits with an elbow. All those things have went on in this World Cup, yet they are brushed under the carpet because it's acceptable for some reason. Fair play my arse.

Have a look. Which would you rather receive? A little bite that did no damage, or this shit?

FYI Leonardo only got banned for four games and fined 5 grand. Nothing more.

Yeah that dude basically fessed up and nothing will come of it.
Said he'd do it again too. So much for a punishment system

Technically the Suarez deal is bad by that logic, because he screwed over his entire team from advancing with that bite.
His presence for that team is crucial, as he's one of the best players in the world

Also apparently that almost goal (USA) at the end of Regulation was going to be ruled off sides?
Had he scored and it got called back for that, the nation would be ripshit today

1min added time too, is just not even worth giving out

I think I wasn't clear enough let me rephrased what I say.

If Suarez got a red card the moment he did the bite is quite possible that Uruguay wouldn't have won that game, so yes he deserved a banned.

Even though I do think he dived on the penalty, the ref didn't see that one as a dive, Robben didn't admit that one was a dive, and FIFA is not considering that one a dive, so we can see why he is not getting any sanctions. Now if Robben admit that the one call penalty was a dive them I agree that he should be sanction with a red card, or banned for a game or two.

Now for the one he did admit diving that didn't end on penalty FIFA should sanction just a yellow card instead of doing nothing as they are doing now. Baning him for an admit dive that didn't cause any penalty or something that affect the game is quite excessive in my opinion.
