No only that, the apologies came after some reports about Barcelona wanting a public apologies from him before they buy him from Liverpool, so it could very well be that he just want his move to Barcelona and actually don't give a shit about what he did.

If only the Belgians knew how to lift the ball from the ground when shooting, USA could have lost by about 20.

Still, props to Howard. He did well to weather the Belgian onslaught for as long as he did.

Also if Belgium could corner kick worth a shit. They had like 18 of them?

I think the ball being on our side was partially their strategy, as harsh as that sounds.
A lot of these recent games it seems like the team with lesser skill will try to lock their opponent out on D and look to strike on mistakes.
I haven't seen a team accomplish this yet though

This is just where the flaws of the American team shine through, and show how far they have to go still before getting to later stages


I will say though, I think USA played really well despite time spent in their own end.
This game was one strike away from ending before regulation ran out. Just had to chip it over that goalie and it's over
