THQ today announced that WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 will be released on six different platforms this fall, including the PS3, X360 and PS2. They did of course release a bunch of images, that you can see inside.
hmmm lol lots of these images are very suggestive, im not quite sure who buys these games, everyone I know thinks there pretty crap lol. Kids will love it I suppose.
1) It wasn't on PS3 and I had more important games to play.
2) It didn't sound like that much improvement.
3) I wanted to skip 07 so the jump from 06 - 08 will feel better.
BUT now I realise I skipped 07 for no reason as this looks to be the same.
All the gameplay elements they are showing in these screens were in 07 (i rented a few times).
Facial expressions, interactive staircase banging etc.
But it's the early days and as more gets shown, I hope more new and exciting stuff come around but I can't help but to feel they ran out of ideas.
I'm 18 so no kid and I buy the game so whats your point?
People who like wrestling buy this game, I know lot of people online who play it and are 20/25+ so
Can't wait for this game! But please THQ fix the animation glitches, make them move smoother, put more storylines in this one especially for RAW, fix the commentary so that if you play with Triple H they don't say Batista and when you deliver the Pedigree that they shout BATISTA BOMB!
If your 18 and still watch wrestling I feel sorry for you. I mean come on you can't possibly be watching the actual wrestling cause it couldn't be more staged. Maybe you like the cornball soap opera of it all, but thats even worse. Atleast its not staged in a video game, so playing the games isn't as pathetic.
Please... you couldn't be more wrong most_hated. All wrestling fans that aren't kids know the damn thing is staged, we enjoy the wrestling and storyline. Oh and I guess everyone that goes to a movie or watches stuff like 24 are pathetic too. If anyone's pathetic it's you, good day...
Everyone knows wrestling is fake, but I still enjoy watching it. It's suppose to be a form of Entertainment, like a TV show, or Movie. I admire the amount of time and effort all of them put into their acts. I sure as hell know I couldn't go out there week after week, LIVE, and do what they do w/o making mistakes in front of all those people, and viewers at home.
i don't mind watching wersling sometimes, & i am no fan of the sport, but i do enjoy the game more then watching it.

it seems like a really big american thing. Not many people in the uk seem to watch it passed the early teens. Not too say its a bad thing of course. Just a culture difference. But yeah I see what people mean about how its sort of a play of sorts. But im more into mind bendin storylines where you leave them thinking what the hell just happened, then you relize the genius of it. I hate mindless action movies so im hardly going to enjoy wrestling.
Looks very detailed but the facial animations aren't convincing at all. That's what I hate about games that try to look realistic. They always get something way wrong and weird.

That's the problem with anything 3d trying to look photorealistic, if there's anything that's off about it, no matter how small, it stands out like a sore thumb.

I think it's funny that someone who likes anime (glares at avatar) will have anything funny to say about wrestling. Don't throw rocks when inside your glass house.

Wow...look at the all the wrestling bashers in here, people have their own preferences, their own tastes, if someone wants to watch wrestling then let them.
I don't watch wrestling myself but i do enjoy these games, they're a great laugh with a few friends around, think i'm gonna pass on this one though until THQ come out with a next gen version.
