When it comes to getting the job done on Gamersyde, things never go according to plan. See Nioh for example, Davton was supposed to take care of the review, so we'd have a verdict and some nice gameplay footage to share, but it took him 3 days to download the game, despite his good Internet connection. Then, when he finally could start playing, he caught the flue, forcing me to take his place, while my sole experience with the genre was the excellent - but probably a bit more forgiving - Dark Souls III. That explains why we don't have much to show you this morning, and we won't be able to answer most of your questions tonight, during our dedicated livestream at 9:15 CET. Hopefully, you'll forgive us, as we really did all we could in the little time we had.
Note: All videos were captured at 1080p on PS4 Pro while the console was set to 4K. We chose to record some footage from the "Action" mode, which takes advantage of a 60 fps framerate, the subtle resolution improvements of the "Movie" mode failing to justify the 30 fps lock in our opinion. As usual, we find the unlocked framerate mode to be quite unpleasant, though some people might not mind.
@alimokrane: Tomb Raide 2 is almost 20 huge levels. I'd say that is a proof of concept, and not a remake. The dude/team would need to get a lot of traction to start doing work that could be done. (2 minutes ago)
@GriftGFX: Aww shiiit, get it Bogard! (5 Hours ago)
Throwing the axe looks really fun too, you can hit different body parts and they react appropriately, like leg shots will trip them etc (8 Hours ago)
I was worried it was gonna be too much the dodge and attack formula but no it seems there are a lot of combos, positioning enemies for wide area and environmental attacks etc (8 Hours ago)
It looks gorgeous too, i hope we ll get some HQ videos from gamersyde on Monday (9 Hours ago)
God of war preview b roll footage was leaked. Its mostly combat footage. Combat looks way faster and more involved than i thought even when fighting just basic fodder enemies it looks awesome (9 Hours ago)
