i was hoping to read that the older DLC's become free. Gfx and textures and everything look more high res in these shots than the 360 version, but the new atmospheres look cool tho.

Never could get into this. Poor and clunky combat mechanics, repetetive environments, awfull GUI and overal poor pacing killed this for me.

Too bad they needed DLC to include some environmental variety as well.

Oh yes, hell yes. I haven't finished Fallout 3 yet, i am back into it though, and LOVING it. This looks very good.

I love Fallout 3. Combat is not great in terms of mechanics, but with all its gore it was quite satisfying for mel; UI was indeed quite problematic, but pacing and exploration parts of the game were fantastic and exceptionally well done for such a huge game. As for environmental variety, there were a lot of different places in the Capital Wasteland to sink hours in exploring them.

I'll buy GotY edition on PC as it'll be cheaper for me than buying all the DLC separately. I will gladly replay the game as well.

i agree completely. i never understood what ppl saw in this game. I hate the environment and the gfx was shit.

I am LOVING this game, before playing it I was sure it wasn't my cup of tea since I am a Bioware fan, but this is turning out to be something special! The gameplay design is FAR better than Mass Effect. Thank you Steam for selling this game at $24 two weeks ago :-D

Hmm. I must have been playing a different game then...

thats not what he meant by repetitive environments. he meant that most areas (specifically underground tunnels and vaults) almost always look alike despite some subtle changes to a few of them. its ridiculous. for open world games, i am more of an exploration guy and that is too why i couldn't get into fallout 3, because i was just sick of seeing the same designs over and over wherever i went. pretty much avoided all underground subway stations in that game because by the 4th one i visited i noticed that they all look exactly alike. you know something is wrong with your environmental design when a player can visit one area and memorize a completely new area's layout just from his prior experience in a similar area.

Well, you'd better find out then, cause there's no point in us having this discussion when we've both been playing a different game.

Wow. The Fallout 3 haters are out in full force today. Oh well, to each his/her/it's own.

I will admit to feeling much the same way that some of the haters feel about Fallout 3, when I initially picked it up. But I had played the original Fallouts ages ago on the PC and loved them, and I'd played Oblivion on the 360 and loved it too, and as a direct result of those prior experiences, decided to do something I normally do not do for a game that I do not like right away - I gave it a chance anyway . . . and boy am I ever glad I did.

Having logged in over 200 hours into Fallout 3 at this point, I have to say this game is the most addictive fun that I have had with any video game since the original Phantasy Star Online 1 and 2 on Dreamcast. Fallout 3 is easily some of the most fun that I have had all gen, so much so, that I have to force myself not to play it . . . but the DLC keeps dragging me back.

I already have an alien blaster, still searching for the Alien Firelance, but even so, am more than ready to take on Mothership Zeta next month. Too bad this will be the final DLC for the game, but then that just give fans a breather from post-Apocalyptia until the release of Obsidian Entertainment's, Fallout: New Vegas next spring - likely to be followed by loads of DLC as well.

Hopefully by the time they get around to Fallout 4, they will be using Project Natal to interact with the NPCs, Milo-style. If they do not, then Mass Effect 3 (and likely Alpha Protocol 2) most certainly will.

Is this content getting bundled with a GoTY edition for PS3???... I actually got a platinum just borrowing Fallout 3 from a friend, and it would seem stupid playing the 360 version now, I'm not a big fan of multi play throughs.
