Trailer PC PS4 Xbox One

CD Projekt RED released this very high quality version of the VGX trailer of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . And as usual with this polish developer, it doesn't disappoint!

Great graphics, great atmosphere, way better artstyle this time than witcher 2 (which i didnt like that much for some reason).

Now if combat is up to my liking (W2 wasent so much) then I will get it on PS4, so gotta wait for proper gameplay footage.

Also, I hope we can play and "customize" to have a bearded Geralt, he looks way better that way like in the CGI.

4 seconds of gameplay does not a gameplay trailer make, bloody annoying that.

That said, looks phenomenal.

possibly the worst trailer at the VGX's, showed almost nothing. the hype reel prior to the show itself showed all this already.

Hmm, I would say it probably showed more than Quantum Break.

Great looking but I need to see a decent video showing actual fighting gameplay. It was absolutely rubbish in W2.

Almost absolutely rubbish, but you are not completely wrong that for sure.
I hope this one is much less hit-roll nonsense and more have blocking and counter attack as crucial defense.

Well, they've removed the roll according to an interview/panel. I have great hopes for this in general. I don't expect it to be super deep in terms of combat (i mean both previous games have severely unbalanced combat) but they seem to be setting the world and quests up with a decent goddamn philosophy behind them. No throwaway fetch-quests for the sake of having more quests, and each quest should have something interesting and unique to see, they said in the same panel as the combat roll thing. So basically the polar goddamn opposite of Skyrim then. By the way, wasn't that huge ass combat mod for Witcher 2 made by a guy at CDProjekt Red? That shit got plugged by them as well, so if that's the case i think there is a good chance they might tighten the combat up a bit.

One thing i really hope for in this game though is a wider variety in weapons. In Witcher 2 you basically just found stronger swords or recipes at set intervals and then at the middle mark you got to pick red, blue or yellow meteorite ore. Would be nice with more swords with different effects and tradeoffs to make your weapon choice less obvious.

I dont want them to remove the roll, just dont make it the crucial defense.
Normal attacks should be used by blocking and counter attacking, rolling for very heavy attacks by heavy armored enemies or big demons attacking.

Like I said, i need to watch the gameplay the combat art of it before i decide. Graphically and artwise its amazing but that doesnt cut it for me.

This game and division are 2 that I am really eager to see much more of. This also makes me really excited for what elder scrolls can be on ps4

Buggy and nice graphics with poor combat with amazing music (if Jeremy Soule continues his Skyrim style music and not MMO nonsense).

You forgot to include the copy/paste environments/assets and one-liners. ;)

Still loved Elder Scrolls 4 with a passion though!

Hopefully less of an issue with next gen as they won't be relying on DVDs anymore. Bethesda has enough money to throw around. But i suppose we will see what a new Fallout looks like first i guess.

Sath: You are so weird. Dynasty warriors a go-go, but the combat in witcher 2 was so terrible you don't want to play it? Makes no sense :P
