the textures in some of those shots are so high res they're started to become "fizzly". like when you do too many "sharpen" filters in photoshot. don't really like it tbh.

I know what you mean, but i'm sure when it's running, it'll look fine. I'm going to Gamescom this year again, and we'll do all we can to visit CD Projekt and try to see if we can see a demo.

movement usually makes that sort of thing worse, it becomes a constantly flickering, shimmering mess. castlvania LOS did it too unless you set your TV to 0 sharpness.

the gameplay trailer that was E3 looked great though, so it's probably just a case of the screenshots being doctored and ironically looking worse.

I agree with you there. More detailed textures isn't always a good thing considering certain resolutions. Probably PC high res screens.

Yeah, I noticed that same thing. The sharpness filter is up way too high, and the result is a lot of noise. I saw the video on Xbox Live, and though it did look overly sharp, I'm sure just reducing your television's sharpness a little should suffice. Regardless it's a beautiful game, and from what I saw of the video, it definitely looked to be running at 60 fps. If it wasn't, it sure as hell looked like it.

Yea, the textures look way to sharp. Looks like the game needs some "post-effects".

Heh, people said the Witcher 2 was even beyond next gen consoles. I don't believe this at all. As good as Witcher 3 looks, and I am extremely hyped for the game, I expect whatever ND has to look more impressive on the visual front. On the other hand, this is rendering a massive environment. It is going to be pretty awesome.

Yeah, compare the console version of The Witcher 2 to a gaming pc running it with everything maxed out, at a high resolution at 60+ fps and tell me it's just as good :P

Actually, that's not the textures, it's the sharpening post processing that their engine forces on. Hopefully it won't be an optio hidden away in a config, because turning it off made Witcher 2 look a lot cleaner.
The game look fantastic in motion, a bit sharper and far bigger than Witcher 2. People need to stop saying "wahhhh, this doesn't look as good as The Division" or whatever. Compare this to Skyrim, because it's basically the same concept. Big open world games simply look worse on the small scale, because they have more to deal with. And the vistas look great in this.

@mord.

Division i mentioned, because it stood out in a major way, Even BF4's water new water physics impressed me.

I played Skyrim, alot of it looked good, Dragons looked like total crap. Where they should have had skin textures like Dinosaurs, just looked smooth.

This looks better, but that sharpening looks poor, characters look decent. and world is big. But people still go over the top with it.

I think you'll see the same thing when GTA5 hits. OMFG it so good, where GTA4 was an ok looking game, poor driving physics, poor framerate. Amazes me people don't get sick of doing the same stuff.
