The curtain falls once again on Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Dojo. With less than six little days left until the japanese release, here's a summary of the week in updates. Monday, Zelda's Final Smash was unveiled ; she fires a light arrow that will damage targets on a horizontal angle. Tuesday, Pokémon Manaphy appeared ; its power is rather unique, it inverts roles! Yea yea, once on the field, it will use a special attack and two players will switch bodies. Whoa! (continued)
Wednesday, a new level has been confirmed, the Mushroomy Kingdom. It's a redesign of the classic 1-1 level in Mario Bros. Incredible, no? There's even a new (godly) music from Koji Kondo. Thursday, a test video was posted, showcasing a battle between Tokyo and Kyoto. The lag seemed minimal, which is good news considering more than 500KM separate both towns. Today, Sakurai dropped a bomb with the inclusion of classic titles into Brawl, in other words game demos of Ice Climber, Kirby, Super Metroid and others. Wahooo...and the Virtual Console doesn't offer such demos, that's really funny. Sakurai > Nintendo.
Smash is more like a combo of fighter and party game. It's great fun though, but i kind of have to agree with Baku, it's not a pure fighter and even ignoring that i'd never say that it's the best fighter.
Anyone else read the hilarious news post over at VG cats? Seems he thought Aeris would be a character in SSBB, without his knowledge ^^
I'd consider it just as much a fighting game as Soulcalibur or Tekken. And it's sure as hell going to be better than either of them. Not even Darth Vader can change that.
WinterSnowblind: well, that depends on what you are looking for in a fighter, no? I personally prefer VF because of it's brilliant system and the strategy involved in the game. What's so good with smash though is that it's so simple that anyone can play it. With VF you can't just pick up the controller and go, but with smash that's no problem but that also deducts from the depth of the over all game i think. Like is aid before, i think of Smash as more of a party game.
Tekken, VF = fighters with much more depth and interesting gameplay but in turn requires you to put down some effort in order to have fun.
Smash: Simple and easy to pick up, any body can play almost instantly as soon as the general control scheme is understood.

Yeah it's almost as if some games aren't trying to be like other games. How dare they!? (7 Hours ago)

you could probably get 3 kebab rolls in L.A. but that's depleting the whole supply. (8 Hours ago)

@Megido: Well no, not really :p But sometimes I can justify a purchase if it's cheap. But for 100 bucks, I could get 20 kebab rolls. and that's a lot of kebab rolls (9 Hours ago)

Well that would be hard since it isn't a real fighting game.
