Ubisoft recently invited selected fans to play the alpha of Tom Clancy's The Division at Massive studio in Sweden. These players share their experience with the game in the following video. The multi-platform beta is coming early next year.
Had a lot of fun with the alpha... just a pity it was only a few days. Surprisingly enjoyable with randomers too.. helping each other out to secure the rewards.. only ever got jumped at the LZ a couple of times but that was my fault for running in without looking. Favourite moments though are when you run into a bunch of other players who are obviously on the same team and they turn around and scope you... you stand there and pull the surrender emote, waiting for a few seconds while they decide whether to shoot you or have you tag along.... love it. Preordered. Day one. :)
The concept is really cool, looks good but the shooting mechanics felt unsatisfactory to me, didn't feel like a TC game. Enemies feel like bullet sponges. I mostly played PvE and I found the missions got very repetitive fast. Did not try much of the PvP. I will check out the next beta, but it really isn't a guaranteed purchase for me yet.

Welcome to the wonderful gaming world of KOS!! Haha but in all seriousness it's what adds to the game, will he or won't he ;)
If you buy anything during the Christmas Sale in the Uplay Shop, you get a key to the closed beta that is coming next year.
The Xbox One alpha was very nice.
Funny how times have changed to me what's hurting this game most is that it's a Ubisoft game. I like Ubisoft but they have somehow left this sour taste from serialising Assassin's creed and under delivering on Watch Dogs, all the whilst failing to provide anything else exciting.

It's just their blatant deception to the audience at showcases so they win headlines over other games and get those 'best' awards over their promotions because daft people hand them out to unfinished products. They're not alone in it...just seem to do it more often.
Plus every game seems to follow the same ubisoft gameplay template that it's become a bit of a joke.
I still find myself wanting their games to be great though.
Very concerned about this game. We keep seeing the same location and no story. Seems like they are highlighting the MP part of it. Don't trust Ubisoft. They make bad decisions IMO when it comes to their games. This one has that Watchdog feeling all over it.
Well of course they are not gonna talk trash about the game in its trailer, but I really can't wait for this. First I was amazed, second I also was amazed, but how bad it suddenly looked and now I'm amazed again, how good it looks again. Damn.

I thought it was hilarious in itself that the title is "the division--TESTIMONIALS", lol, as if we need people's testimony as to whether the game is shit or not.
It's ubi, they probably paid these people to say what they're saying.

Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
