Open world, online only game, no way we get this level on consoles.
You know that how exactly? What empirical evidence can you draw on? It will be a pretty failed 'true next gen' engine if it can't look close to that. Seriously, people need to look up what Massive have done in the past. These guys are up there with Crytek when it comes to tech on PC.
looks great, such a shame they have gone with online only, its pretty stupid move, you would think they would want to make the most money they can from a game, specially when while online gaming is massive but the majorty of people who play games or buy them even to play every so often dont play online and alot dont want too.

ill give this one a miss :/
So you're saying it's a shame they haven't tacked on a single-player mode just to make more money from a game which was conceptualized solely as a multi-player game?
Yep, impressive tech. Not new, but the best implementation of HDR indirect lighting I've seen in a game so far. The shader model isn't new either, but I don't think I've seen it done like this in a game.

Does any of that have anything to do with the interaction of smoke & light? As someone who doesn't know rendering tech stuff, that's what popped the most to me here.
i had to mute that gameplay the 2nd time i watched it, could not stand all that fake interaction with the idiots who were supposed to be playing the game

They are making more money by doing a multiplayer only game due to the decrease in piracy that will bring.

Logic if ubi cant do it with watchdogs, i doubt this will be at that level on consoles gameplay wise, but lets wait until closer launch console footage then we can come back and discuss the downgrades lo
