The Nascar mode of Gran Turismo 5 won't be the most popular one for people outside the US like us, but we still couldn't pass the opportunity to do a video showing how it plays.

The guy almost reached 400kmh and there was no sense of speed at all. A little strange.

Because what GT5 really needs is Gokart and Nascar. Fuck yeah, the fact that development started somewhere in the middle of the cretaceous period is well justified by such wonderful additions!

Well, alot of people were extremely happy when they heard about Nascar and gokarts, i think PD one of the dev who really listen to their fans.

This game needs big crashes and cool roll over. I am telling you people love those kind of shit. If they can do it. People will go crazy. Otherwise they will complain it looks boring

I'm pretty sure they only included these modes because they went way over budget and need to attract as many buyers as possible

I have two great cars. A 2010 Sti and a 97 prelude. I have been over 220kph in both of them and it looks way faster than this 400kph vid.

This vid has no sense of speed at all. "THIS VID"

The fastest ever recorded NASCAR speed was 230MpH, so where did you even get 400KmpH from?

So how can people even trust you have those cars if you can't even tell the difference?

Considering the recording is at 60fps.

How do you replicate that in a driving condition with tons of blur, which is what other racers use.

And no, you don't get blur inside the car, that should give u a clue.


In real life you'd miss tons of action travelling at massive speeds, but 60fps for a racing game is smooth.

And consider that a lap in GT5 will be consistant with a lap on the real life track is telling enough.
