Is this a soap-opera or what? Cheesy characters all around. The music alone makes Enya a death-metal star... If you have to endure too much of that playing the game, it will be a disaster!

Pack the trailer with action and adventure instead! Great looking video though.

The game looks great, the cutsceens are top notch but... I enjoy the love plots in RPGs but imo this trailer has too much sugar in it and an excesive amount of teens-love subplots. I would really like a more adult take on the love themes seen in JRPGs.

Anyway, a shame I dont understand japanese cause waiting 6 months for our release sucks :(

When you see her up close, she looks in the 17-20 range...while he looks 25+...so yeah, I would agree

Having been to Japan, and having Japanese relatives, I can outright say Japanese women don't "look younger" than western women. They look more Japanese than western women, and, er, that's it. You probably think they look younger due to the proliferation of younger models that make their way into the western conciousness, but that's because... they're often young women.

Orientalism. Ugh.

In European countries age of consent ranges from 13 to 17 years old. In France the age of consent is 15, in Germany it's 14, in the UK and the Netherlands it's 16, in Spain it's 13 and the list goes on. A lot of us actually think Americans are a bit anal retentive about the whole thing. I was 17 when I began dating a 22 year old man. There was nothing wrong with it and nobody had any problems with it. 10 years later and we're still together.
But it isn't like this in Europe alone, in Japan the age of consent is 13 which means it's okay for Sazh and Snow to be engaged. This game reflects Japanese culture and in Japan people probably don't care if he's 25+ and she's 17.

I for myself dont care about the ages, I care about the treatment of the love themes in JRPGs which are full of teenage crap. I suppose I enjoyed that when I was a teenager myself, now Im just fed up of love scenes typical of my High School era. Very few games really treat love in a more adult way, I must be getting old :(

One of the best looking games this gen IMO, if you think the dimension of ff series. To tell the truth, i was expecting it to be much more inferior if i judge by the other jrpg's i've played this gen. If SQUERENIX manage to make the game worthy to the videos shown so far, then its first day for me.
Great trailer, with cut-scenes and attidute much like the rest ff, nothing not anticipated.

Video Hiccups a little bit during the fireworks. Looks like a little encoding issue.

Trailer is just amazing! I wish they had it in English (Fingers crossed) but just looking at the detail in the character models, the silky smooth animations (you can visibly see Snow gulp during the interrogation scene) this is one outstanding looking game. Impressive on its own, its even more impressive considering the scope of the game.
