I'm just wondering how a game like this is green-lighted. Especially when the competition is so stiff in an oversaturated genre with the same cars and tracks...

Let's hope it's for the sake of excelent physics and performance(60 FPS).

Those models are crap.

dont hope for good physics from these guys, they specialise in getting a great concept and funking it up. TDU was in principle set to be a hot game, yet the graphics lacked and cars didnt "steer", they pivoted from the centre.

i highly suspect this to be the same...

These are the same people who are developing Project C.A.R.S., which has great Forza/GT-like handling. It is unbelievable that this game will have the same crappy handling as Shift did, but it will, you can see it in the videos. They actually should have called this "Shift 3: Ferrari Racing Legends".

Yes, the models look like toys. It would not matter if it would be an excellent physicist. But I think it hardly can be expected.

Europeans like racing games like Americans love derivative shooters. I imagine making a racing game like this is much cheaper than a FPS.

wow, way to generalize :P I'm American and love me a good racing game. (I also LOVE the European Top Gear, too- shocking!) I also don't like brainless shooters (love me some good shooters). This game looks average and quite frankly, unnecessary. I'd say the same for a generic shooter as well...

if this is from the same people who completly fucked up TDU with TDU2 then no matter how much they boast about the game i refuse to purchase anymore TDU related games (at least you more or less had a choice between normal and simu modes "hardcore mode" in the first TDU game and the open servers were miles better than the crap fest that is TDU2 and removal of the bookmark anywhere and the teleport to eden island just killed the game.

for me ill stick with forza and gran turismo, 2 of the most solid racing sims this gen (on consoles not PC).

Slightly Mad Studios is developing this game yes. Yes they are also working on Project C.A.R.S. And no, Project C.A.R.S has nothing like Forza/GT-handling. C.A.R.S is also only in an alpha-stage atm (the name stands for Community Assisted Race Sim btw) and is supposed to be developed as a true sim. How close they are to that atm i do not know since i havent payed to be a part of the development of the game. http://youtu.be/kFBRx6OTwSQ that is just one of many gameplay videos from C.A.R.S.

They are using the same engine in TDU Ferrari Racing Legends as in Shift 1+2 and also C.A.R.S, I'm guessing TDU Ferrari is going to be more arcadelike than the other titles.

the game is not the worst out there but the first TD for the next gen consoles was one of the launch early games and there was a lot of promises back then that weren't kept and the game felt weak. In the film industry movies can be liked from some audience and disliked by a different audience but in the game industry it is fair to say that when the game sucks no one likes it lol
