If it looks anywhere near as good as this during gameplay, I'll eat my own bollocks.

The livestream video said it was in engine footage, and I believe these images were taken from it. I doubt it will look like this even at max settings on PC.

Well here is something that just went up now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLaoiNUhDeQ
Hopefully they will put it up on their real asset site and Gamersyde can get it up then :)
(Put the EA UK version up now.)

I seriously cannot believe the visuals of the trailer becoming real in the PC version.

Looked just too good.

I expect actual gameplay to get pretty close to the trailer in terms of visuals, I mean BF4 is 1.5 years old and the visuals still blow my mind every time I play it.

I'm all for multiplayer-only titles. Sink those resources into the part of the game that people actually play.

How many times have you played the BF3 and 4 campaigns, just out of curiosity? I vaguely remember playing BF4's, and I wish I hadn't. That was a few hours of my life I won't get back, so if it means they are concentrating on the actual part of the game that people will be buying it for, then that's a good thing. The game might actually turn out to be good on day one.

It might get close. But people get too excited when they hear the term "in-engine" thinking that it's basically how the game will look. Not so. There's virtually little difference to "in-engine" compared to actual offline CGI these days. The only real difference is that they are using the game's rendering engine, albeit with everything maxed to the testicles and about as much high end resources of the game assets they can throw at it, with a side of performance killing post effects that you wont see in the actual game. It all adds up to something that looks the part and still looks like a game.

Agreed. The SP was never GOOD in Battlefront anyway.

Eh, this isn't that much better than BF4 visually. It lokos pretty awesome, but I expect playing on my 980 that this is absolutely what this game will look like.
In engine is more like "PC max settings with special animations."
It's not CGI at all.
Keep in mind we haven't seen a nicely compressedversion of the trailer either, and compression hides flaws. When Gamersyde gets us a nice 1080 version (fingers ccrossed) we will see what it REALLY looks like.

Looks great, maybe wont look like that when it comes out but Frostbite engine is awesome especially when DICE uses it and i think BF4 looks great.

But with time until this releases they will just improve upon it, but yeah, loved the trailer!

Yeah, but no. This looks a hell of a lot better than BF4 does visually, especially given the fidelity of the actual models and the effects involved. That, and of course there's the destruction element. The game will not look like this, and I think you've taken what I've said about there being little difference to offline CGI out of context. The workflows are almost entirely the same, and there's no need to worry about performance issues.

Thanks -SD- and Gamersyde for the trailer in high quality!

It looks fantastic at this quality. The Boba Fett scene, for example, almost looks like a scene from one of the recent movies.

And the sound quality is top notch as well, this even made me rewatch it just to hear the sounds again, they all feel so authentic - like if I was watching one of the movies.

In-engine shenanigans aside, this looks very promising. I hope to see some mind-blowing gameplay at E3 2015.

Can I come to the party. I've always respected Santa Clause for giving me free stuff, when I was little. He's a very great, great man.

Will it look like this? Probably not. Will it still be really impressive? Probably so. I'm super excited. You actually can see some aliasing on that scene near the end with the X-wings. I think the visuals may actually get close to this but I can't see them pulling that off on the PS4 without 30fps. Xbone, 30fps sub 1080. Either that or visual downgrade and 60fps. I think the PC will get close to what is in the video. Devs are now able to concentrate on better hardware and leaving old consoles behind. I think next year will show some surprising visuals for the consoles, and therefore the PC to an even greater extent.

it looks great but as always it's "in engine" which means nothing really. I'm sure it will be downgraded to oblivion. Game looking like this in full hd and 60 fps on consoles... LOL

Frostbyte engine still has ugly water and reflections. The graphics will surely be downgraded and a blue or grey filter will be added, just like all BF games.
