GSY Video PS4

Some people expressed concerns regarding the base PS4 version of Shadow of the Colossus, so we got our console back and captured 2 short videos showing bits from the beginning of the adventure. As you'll see, there doesn't seem to be much to complain about.

The PS4 is a very capable console, and the Pro is a very modest 2x upgrade. The xbones have both the best and worst graphics of this console gen, but PS4 is a very happy medium with it's killer exclusives. Thanks to Sony spearheading this Gen even the new Fable game is now possible thanks to what Phil saw HZD accomplish.

Still looks better on my PCSX2 emulator...

Did they really redo the soundtrack, or am I hearing things? If so, that's a sin.

They made them more grand and extended some of them...the original composer was involved.

Only the opening and ending music was remastered. Probably would be really expensive to do the whole ost.

Holy crap lol, no it doesn't. Your PCSX2 upscaled version does not include the magnitude of detailed upgrades like to the landscape geometry.

Watch this video at 480p resolution to get all the versions running at the PS2 versions original resolution. Does that Remake footage look even remotely like the PS2 version?
And playing that PS2 footage at 12K resolution on PCSX2 isn't going to change that either.
For another reference and proof here is SOTC running at 4K on PCSX2 and not looking on any level close to the Remake.

It was a joke, but since you asked. I actually like the grain of the ps2/PCSX2 version, it brings a certain texture to it where it feels like you can reach out and touch the objects rather than shiny, plastic gloss which has the opposite effect.

There are filters you can turn on that work ingame, also film grain was one of the options i think

I'm glad it was a joke because frankly, PCSX2 is no where near even the PS3 version of this game. Sure, you can get 4k60fps on an EMU but you can't get better draw distance, or textures.
