Images Xbox 360 PS3

2010 will probably best 2009 as far as AAA titles are concerned and it is very likely that Red Dead Redemption will be part of the bunch. Only four images today, not much of a booty, but it is still worth a look if you're into the Wild West.
Update: Images are now available in 720p.

It's almost difficult to believe this game runs on the same engine as GTAIV considering how much better it looks. Although, I suppose it doesn't have to render all the people etc.

BTW, how do I make it so the screenshots open in new tabs/windows instead of that stupid screenshot viewer? The old gamersyde used to have that option, what happened?

...is "about the same as it did when I played it" the wrong answer? Because it looked incredibly good. RDR just has a shit ton more detail.

Middle clicking the image in chrome works in opening it to a tab rather then the lame separate window. Learn to middle click when wanting a new tab, works like a charm for 'any' link on the web :) Cept for some flash/java based links :(

EDIT: Also keep in mind this is most likely a heavily worked on version of the engine, Rockstar pumped out midnight club with the same base engine and they've shown they can support many games via the same engine not unlike Valve and Source.

GTA IV still looks very impressive, especially when the sun goes down in the game or when it's night. That alone looks pretty damn good, but when the rain and lighting comes....that's when it's amazing looking, you simply can't call that un-impressive or anything.

However...on that same engine...daytime in the game looks MUCH less impressive, tree shadows look crappy and just things in the background look ugly. But like i said...many times when i am playing the game (especially the latest DLC, which has a obvious graphics update) i say 'wow' to myself. When Luis is on a boat and looking over the view of the water and cityscape....damn impressive.

Wow, looks great... I love the lighting and the character models and pretty much anything else...

...damn. Another game I want to blow time and money on. My list of wanted games gets too long... but at least 2010 won't be boring one second gaming-wise.

My most anticipated game of 2010. I cant tell you how much fun I had with Gun, Call Of Juarez and the Civil War games. This game seems to expand on them all. For some reason, the wild west is the perfect setting for videogames. I guess it has to do with the wide open, free-roaming landscape and the beauty the untouched open plains held before corporation got its greedy little paws on it. I'd imagine playing cowboys and indians as a child doesnt hurt either. Either way, I cannot wait for this game!

:D I wonder if Euphoria will run at a higher level in this because there are fewer characters to worry about. Either way, I can't see this game being bad :D...

Yeah, those 5 or so animations looked great. Except turning while running, that looked stupid.

Please don't be as terrible as GTA 4. Don't take a page out of their books. Be more like Red Dead Revolver. Don't have frustrating missions, don't have any of the structure of a GTA game with only 1 good mission out of a 100.

These are the things I hope for.
