Today we decided to launch Project CARS to see how far Slightly Mad Studios had come since November. When seeing the impressive introduction sequence, we couldn't help capturing it for you guys, even though the game doesn't look as realistic and mind-blowing once behind the wheel. The Azur Coast track had quite a lot of visual glitches (shadows and lighting seemed completely crazy) and the replays we watched looked nothing like what you can see in the intro. Let's hope the developers will have enough time to polish their game in time for the March release.
Update 2: The trailer is back!

Commented on 2015-01-17 04:12:35The number of cars sounds like it would most likely be handled by a multiplier. If the devs don't uncap the number of racers, you can be sure modders will uncap that.

Commented on 2015-01-17 14:44:54 In reply to XoarPlus in forza you could buy a crap car and modify it to race against ferarris, so while outright there are maybe a few cars that are the best, most every car can be upgraded to compete, and thats how it should be.
Commented on 2015-01-17 14:57:27I don't want to race against someone's neon pink Impala.

The car painting phenom thing happened on accident.
Forza is the best all around do what you want car game out there.

PCars will be the best thing ever to happen to Forza as it will force T10 to up their game as the have became complacent since they bettered Gran Turismo
Commented on 2015-01-18 01:04:31 In reply to dargis49game as well. And it can be a game where you just turn down the difficulty, turn off damage, change steering from sim, and turn off tire wear and just drive for fun.

project cars deals more with racing. There efforts have gone into race atmosphere, animated pits, weather, racing disciplines etc.
Forza you spend most of the career racing Honda fits and SUVs.
Commented on 2015-01-18 01:05:11I hope this game pushes gt and Forza to step out of they're comfort zones.

Wow dude, you are so wrong. Forza has the ability to be what you want it to be. It can be (mostly) all out sim depending on what difficulty you choose and what abilities? (can't think of the word) turn off
You evidently don't know what a sim is if you are stating forza is a sim. i love GT and Forza, but at the end of the day once you have ventured towards rFactor, LFS, iRacing and the such, you realise what the true meaning of the word simulation is.
Forza - best customisation allowing you to achieve the look and go go power car you want.
PCars - best series and online racing (as per real life racing series') that I've had, realistic tyre wear/heat, same with the brakes.
All in all PCars has focused far more on reproducing the correct atmosphere for such events as the Nurburgring 24hr than the customisation that other games offer, but where it lacks in customisation, trust me, it more than makes up for in immersion. its immense.
