Because I'm about to add a second GTX 970 to my rig, I wanted to show you guys how Project CARS runs with one card when pushing most of the game's graphical options to the maximum. Except for particles and particle density which I set to medium, everything is maxed out with DS2x AA in the following video showing a three lap replay on Brands Hatch against 29 cars. As you can see, the framerate takes a bit of a hit from time to time, especially when the rain starts falling heavily, but the game still remains playable - and surprisingly smooth at 30/35 fps. The developers have a bit of time ahead of them to polish and optimize their title, but you'll probably have to make a few visual conessions if you want to play at a rock solid 60 fps.
Update: 2 videos added. They were captured with slightly different settings and a clear fps gain. Settings #1 and Settings #2.

I still really don't like those huge blobs of water that hit during the rain effect - it's like somebodies holding a plastic sheet up a few inches in front of you for them to sit on. Worse is the effect with the helmet cam and it does this weird carrying through thing...ignoring the helmet. I dunno, maybe it's because i've been recently spoilt by Driveclubs rain effects (which are leaps and bounds ahead of this) but it just looks 'off' to me.
Game has a decent track list though, and I still quite fancy it. All depends on how the ps4 version turns out.
Also, who was driving, and where you using a wheel or controller? I thought it was very smooth, but felt you were diving towards the middle of the track too early on turns, thus missing the apex :P -- sorry, too much F1 lately.
Btw I predict a very shitty port on consoles. I doubt they'll lock the game to 60 fps, even with a major graphics downgrade. I will buy the game for Xbox One eventually just because I love racing games. Forza Motorsport is an amazing car game but as a racing game is poor, so I'm hoping to do some serious racing in PCars very soon.
Obviously on PC, Higher rez, AA, AF, Maybe shadows etc.
I've played plenty of DRIVECLUB, 1080p 30fps, But i do know unlocked it runs 45-60fps. And it's rendering tons of detail, weather effects are crazy good.
So Yes this should be fine @ 60fps.
