About Gamersyde
Gamersyde is a commercial multiplatform web portal based in Europe, with hundreds of thousands of visitors each month from all over the world. We cover both handheld and video games platforms and the site has grown into one of the biggest gaming sites in the continent. We are able to offer fast news delivery and HD content from the upcoming games, and one of the greatest and friendliest gaming communities in the world. The HD content we provide always respects the original resolution and framerate of the games we capture, making Gamersyde the one and only place to get 1080p/4K/60fps videos with high bitrate. At a time when Youtube's subpar video compression has become the norm for most people on the Internet, we refuse to give up quality without a fight. We now also produce HDR videos, which can only be enjoyed by those who own compatible televisions. The content we produce is obviously not free of use should you want to upload our videos on your own website or YouTube channel.

But, if you look at the sales year-over-year AND the number of active players, it does seem that people care about this game, buy this game and play this game.
I personally am only mildly interested, but the numbers show that people who DON'T play are in the MINORITY of FPS players, NOT the majority.
On the other hand, if you combined COD populations across all sequels and platforms, that might be a majority.
I find the internet (and gamers, especially), live in little echo-chambers, where you're surrounded by like-minds, all saying the same things. Because of this, people think that their circle represents the entirety of the subject, when in reality, there are many other groups out there; some the majority, some the minority, some just the median.
With regards to COD, the numbers (sales and DAU) tell a different tale than the narrative that goes around by COD-haters.
And to be clear, I haven't liked a COD since Modern Warfare and haven't bought one since Advanced Warfare (although I've played a bit of them). And the only reason I bought COD AW, was because of Kevin Spacey. I've personally got other/more interesting (to me) FPS's to play, but I recognize the juggernaut that is Call of Duty.
