Video PS4

As you certainly know already, The Last of Us Remastered is the PS4 version of the excellent The Last of US released last year on PS3. We are now releasing 4 1080p 60 fps videos showing a few different gameplay sequences from the first hour of the game. If you didn't play the game on PS3 you might want to skip these as it might spoil a few things!
You might also want to take a look at EHTONK's video on the community side of the site, with a great comparison of the PS3 et PS4 versions side by side.

Yes...I love that frame-rate and it really looks much better compared to PS3 version. Now I need PS4.

Absolutely loved this game. A friend of mine never had a PS3 and he's getting a PS4 for this, man you cannot go wrong with that.

As I expected: this not like the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition on PS4. No major updates. Just higher resolution and 60 fps. Still getting it though. Simply because it was the best game of the previous gen.
they've updaded character models to match that of cutscenes, environmental assets have been boosted geometry wise, textures are 4 times the res, and the lighting has been improved to better match the pre rendered cut-scenes...and it's 1080p and 60fps...i'd say they where pretty good updates, easily as good as tomb raiders new (worse) face and floaty wig technology?

I saw some comparion pics but i can't say all those changes can be seen crystal clearly then. Better lighting? I guess i have to see it in motion for that and compare it to PS3.

It's still a ps3 game, other than the boost in resolution and frame rate, you shouldn't expect too much or you'll be disapppointed.

what's the problem with the vids? some of them are not quite smooth with some frame drop(the video maybe 60 fps the whole time, but what i saw wasn't that 60fps)
btw, the other 60fps vids from here don't look like this, so i guess it's not my video player's fault

Have you guys encountered the frame drop when playing this game?

Oh no worries. I'm not even getting it, don't have a PS4. I may get it sometime in 2015, but well...i finished it on PS3, loved it, but i think that's good enough.

Maybe you should see a shrink, there's treatment now you know. It's like all you can think about is Korn when logic would be to simply ignore him if he annoys you that much. I guess the heart has its reasons... :)

The difference between the two versions, whilst noticeable at times is actually quite subtle. Obviously the better version on PS4 if you have never played it but yeah, after watching the comparison vid there isnt a wow factor. Still looking forward to playing it again though and it will actually be my first retail disc purchase for PS4 since its launch.

I dont think it should of been named "remastered" Had they left that out the title i doubt people would have any issue on how it looks.

yeah i agree , this isnt remastered at all , just a cash grab.

the halo remastered master chief collection on the other hand , WOW .

flicking through the 1900's version and the remastered by a push of a button was a pretty noteworthy upgrade (i think it was the halo 2)

but all in all , i dont really like any remastered games, if there isnt any new content , expanded maps , extended story , etc.. then whats is the point ???

Offering the possibility to play the game to a new audience, which is all this version has always been about.

As for the Halo Collection, you're right about Halo 2 (but how could it have ben any different given the age of the original game? ^^) , but that's all. Halo 3 and 4 will be simple ports of the 360 versions in 1080p/60fps.

MCC will be a inconsistent mess. One game remade others remastered, some cutscenes completely changed from in engine to cgi and others not. They should just stick with Halo 2 (Halo 3 & 4 are not worth a remaster anyway).

Ive seen a lot of people on the internet getting more excited for this than some actual gen games such as inFAMOUS or Ryse, especially those who didnt own a ps3, which are not that few in fact. Just because of those guys I think this version makes total sense.

As for the difference in graphics and frames, Ive seen people talking about "day and night" differences between PC and console games that didnt look as obvious as this, even tho I agree the difference is not that "wow" to worth the money by it self.
