First 10 minutes PC Xbox 360 PS3

If you are a SEGA fan, you have been longing for the great return of the fastest hedgehog in the history of video games for ages. Great news, time has come now with the release this week of Sonic Generations on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. First of all, the game looks great and colorful, very faithful to the series, whether in 2D or 3D. Then, even though the game only runs at 30 fps, the little blue mascot is faster than ever. True, there are a few slowdowns here and there, but it certainly does not ruin the experience. To prove our point, here are a whole lot of homemade videos for you guys.
Update: Because we like to brag once in a while, here are two pictures of the collector edition SEGA sent us. :)

Too bad, this could have been nice if only they hadn't screwed up the frame rate. I doubt Sega will ever make a good Sonic game again.

You are aware that this is on PC right, unless your intention is to complain that the framerate is to smooth :).

To be honest, it's similar to the old Metal Sonic battle. The difference is that it isn't a race any more.

I've almost finished this game. I just need to do the Super Sonic boss. I have to say, I'm very impressed with this game. Mainly because of the intense nostalgia. I've played every single game of the corresponding levels in Sonic Generations.

My only qualm is that the game is too short. I know that there are the side missions (most are quite fun). But they take place in the same levels and not new ones. This game could and should have been longer.

My only hope is that SEGA finally decides to be bold and make a Sonic Adventure 3.

I really relly hope you can NOT play the 3D levels, Sonic have never worked well in this 3D level due his speed, just a mess to play it. However the 2D levels looks really fun to play.

I know! That is the most amazing reward any game has ever given me for finishing it (getting all 180 emblems) to date.

Also, no Collector's Edition in USA ;_;

Just looking at the cutscene reminds me just how beautiful cartoony graphics can be. I think this generation of gaming has been the best ever. I can speak on that because I am 35 and can tell you about the existence of every console to market and those that never made launch (vaporware). My point being is that with all the power of the current machines, devs and artist have strayed away from the cartoony, bright and luscious worlds that are easier and more possible to create today than they were when the days of creating 3 dimensional worlds proved to be more difficult. With the race to make the most visually realistic game with guns pacing this console generation, devs forgot to make things fun and exaggerative in character. Sigh. I really wish the devs would make another Skies of Arcadia or Blue Dragon. The resources for this Sonic game could have been put to another use if not better. Selling Sonic to today's gamer is like selling a standard definition television in best Best Buy.
