GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One Xbox 360 PS3

FIFA 14 is now out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, while waiting for the nextgen versions in november, we offer you some videos of the Xbox 360 version. Expect PC videos this weekend.
Note: the rare framedrops during gameplay are due to some capture issues, the game is perfectly smooth.

FIFA 14 is rather hard to get into. Everything definitely "seems" slower, but more rewarding when you score a goal! Of course, last time I played FIFA 13 was...

I'm not much into footy games at all, but from what i've seen, even in terms of next gen versions. Pes actually looks better. Just seems more natural, better animated, smoother, better paced... Have EA become complacent again?

According with Gametrailers.com's review, the reason the pace is slower is because EA decided to make it more like a simulator and less like an arcade, so that's why the game feels slower than FIFA 13.

bahhh ... same ol same ol ... maybe back in 1995 i was impressed (yea I've played the series that long) ... but really ... this is the flicking future and I was expecting them to make FIFA more like I was actually playing on the field ... I'm surprised they haven't done that yet ...

I don't like where EA is going. They're pushing realism so hard that the game is starting to get more frustrating that enjoyable. You can't waste that much time and effort controlling a pass, one should be thinking about what to do next. Passing can't be such a big part of the game.

On that side, PES is dangerously coming closer. I've tried it and it felt much more enjoyable to be honest, though not as deep as Fifa.

It's called a gimmick release and that's how sports games operate. It's hard justifying a yearly release of the same game without either "really" pushing the tech or implementing something that devs focus hard on to call it "new"

.... oh wait there are several other genres that operate this way to :D --- I guess being innovative and creative is hard after all

You what? Passing is one of, if not the main, aspect of football in real life.

As for PES, it as always deeper. Even when it was complete dog shit, it still had tactical elements to the game that allowed teams to play and feel differently. Fifa is aiming for the middleground as usual to please everyone. All teams will feel and play the same style of football. Fifa's major downfall is it's AI routines, which are quite literally the same shit year in year out, making it feel, eventually, like nothing has changed at all.

I don't know, I've been playing PES 2014 for a while recently (my first PES game since forever), and it just seems way more realistic. I'm a sucker for graphics, but usually it doesn't bother me in football games. But when I played PES 2014...damn that looks realistic! FIFA 14 looks really good, but it still looks like a game. With the new PES, if you remove all in match displays, someone could actually mistake it for a real footy match. Though I still think FIFA's gameplay is better, PES's visuals and player animations are the ones to beat. I hope for a football game with PES visuals+animations and FIFA gameplay.

The SP really looks way more like football than in previous games. And it also plays like it. But in the online Video you see how F*cked up it is... its way too fast again and looks like a mess, 2 passes to get infront of the goal and way more choppy animations...

The difference between SP and MP is extreme. It looks like a complete different game...
