You probably all know that Bethesda only sent DOOM to the press yesterday, which is why we cannot really tell you what we think about the game although it's already been released. Having only played the early levels of the adventure on PS4 and PC, it's hard to be sure the campaign will deliver until the very end. That being said, it can't be denied that the gameplay works perfectly well with a gamepad on consoles. Miguel captured some 1440p/5.1 PC footage with the mouse and keyboard, but we also have 4 PS4 videos to show you some gamepad action. We played for a bit less than an hour and we had a lot of fun, but we wonder if the 15-hour-long campaign (say the developers) is not going to feel a bit tedious in the end for such a fast and manic shooter. Provided the game throws new types and enemies at us with new weapons until the end, it might very well be the case. If not, then it could potentially harm some of the fun, leaving the player with the feeling that the campaign should not have been stretched out that much.

The single player campaign looks to be the opposite though.
It's release window was poorly chosen. And there was no buzz or hype at all compared to the hype the previous Doom games had. I have the impression Bethesda wasn't confident with this game at all (also no review copies before release...). This game was announced years ago. Something definately went wrong during development.
I bought on Steam today and as soon as a I finish Uncharted I'm diving deep in the depths of Hell with DOOM :)
