Surviving Mars, which will be available next week on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, is a management game in which you have to build structures and gather ressources to sustain human life on Mars. The game offers a certain challenge with its hostile environment, settlers' needs, their personality traits and mental health, ressource management, but also mysteries that may appear during the game. Here are some gameplay videos of the PC version in 1440p60, and maybe more next week.

I'm more than 10 hours in the game and I'm really enjoying it.

Still exited for the game anyways and glad that you are 10 hours in and enjoy it. Game seems ton of fun.
By the way, this game is not a sim like Cities, I think it's a bit more like Anno or Aven Colony, but I did not play those game that much.
I mean, you don't create a city by zoning, placing service buildings, managing trafic and let citizens live their lives, here you have to manage ressources first and try to be self-sufficient, build things that will help your settlers to live and stay on Mars (once they're all dead it's game over).
Still you have to fulfill their needs, make them happy, educate them, but you can also manage where they work and sleep.
It's a very different game, I really like both, Paradox really has good studios these years :)
I may try Tropico someday, but from what I saw on Twitch, the theme/ambiance does not please me.

I still call it a sims game though as it is a colonizing mars simulation. I love this type of games.
While this looks good, I certainly don't want that Tropico model.
