goddam wow that looks so flippin sweet

they really need to do a feature where you can just walk around the tracks nice and slow and go sight seeing lol.
maybe they could give u a camera so u can take screenshots,
and call it track study or something
just so it stays within the 'racing game' kinda thing...

There is already a photo mode that allows you to go anywhere you want on the track you know ;)

but i have never played it other then a couple of arcade races then i put forza straight in.!

and on a really sad note, since this is a racing game thread i would just like to say R.I.P to colin mcRae and his son.if you didnt know yet, him and his son died in a helicopter crash today, what a terrible shock. :'(

the game looks way better than PGR 3, I love the detail and lighting on the tracks! I love seeing this game franchise (am i using the correct word?) evolve from game to game :D

I know that filming OFF SCREEN makes a little 'magic happen' and games tend to look even better than they do with direct feed... but that looked photo real. It was almost hard to wrap my brain around that the jerky camera was the guy scrolling through the Polygonal world!

Hey so Blim I remember reading about a " secret reason for having better textures " I dunno if it was bull or not can you tell us if there is a reason or just a rumour? Thanks BTW =]

I know this is irrelevant to the video but I just found out this information.

"PGR4 introduces a new online game mode, called "Bulldog". One player starts out as the bulldog, whose job is to tag every other opponent in the game, thus creating new bulldogs as he goes. This mode will be played in an open section of a city, allowing the players to turn into presumably any street they want. Both cars and bikes will be allowed to play in this mode simultaneously."

Am I the only one that thinks this sounds like the coolest game mode ever. Sounds like the corsa video where they are playing hide and seek.

The "secret reason" would be decal and polygonal road paintings if by "better textures" you mean how lines in the road remain sharp into the distance. And some AF plus all-round improvement in streaming and texture compression (assumption).

They really have done a phenomenal job with this game. The competition will go pale when they play this game.
