Page 1 2 3 >>Why do developers suddenly like to spoil their games before they're even out? Anyway I must've played the demo about 20 times already. It's not as good looking as Sigma, but there's nothing as satisfying as leaving a trail of limbs and blood wherever you go!
And that's not a jab against the PS3, but the fact it was simply a spruced up Xbox game shows, the environments in NG2 are far bigger and more impressive looking. Granted, it's not particularly noticeable from the trailers, but if you play the demo, then I noticed a huge difference almost immediatly, and I was playing Sigma just a few minutes before :)
NG2 looks far, FAR better than Sigma does.

NG Sigma Ryu model looks better than the one from NG2.
In NG Sigma, Ryu looks more realistic than NG2,
I got both the games (NG2 demo) and I did a picture-in-picture comparison and Ryu looked better on NGS.
However, the environment and after effects looked much better in NG2.
But I am happy how NG2 looks, can't wait to pick it up this week :D

Some things look better, muscle textures and geometry, some not: metal reflections and animation... NG2 is way better, in that segment.
From shots I've seen it looks exactly the same, if not better in NG2 from the slightly better lighting.
I find that hard to believe, HOW does the model look better in Sigma, HOW does it look more realistic?

In Sigma, Ryu is more detailed on the body (not the outfit), gives a bit more realistic look.

Uhh, how? They finally applied some body textures on Ryu in NG 2, I'd consider that more detailed...

seem like the angle in the ng2 pic doesn't show Ryu's muscles well, but you can tell by looking closely at his muscles that they are the same model with different clothes, the NG2 model is close 2 the cam and hunched showing less muscle detail in the ab and chest area but who knows maybe sigma's is more detailed, who cares I have been done with Ninja Gaiden 1 since 2004 bring on the gory masterpiece that Ninja Gaiden 2 is.
I tried to find places were the lighting was normal and such, and I did on both and this is what I think.
Should be slim and quick
TO ME that makes the NG2 model a lot more realistic
NG2 looks more like a person would actually look, and Sigma looks more like fantasy/characterized

I posted some comparison pics at Iberians a while ago. If you put the model pics side by side, then you can see it immediately that the Sigma model looks definitely better/ more realistic
Anyway, I doubt that Sigma stand a chance in any other category, especially gameplay :-) Guys watch this video, and you´ll know what I´m talking about

The funny thing is how Ninja Gaiden 2 only runs at 585p and can't even manage 30fps without slowdown compared to Sigma which runs at 720p and 60fps whilst managing to look the better game 90% of the time.
COD4 and Oblivion don´t run at 720p as well, but they called it extremely good looking games though.
Furthermore the slowdown is said to be only in the review builds and not on the retail copy!!!
Anyway Sigma is a good NG game though
