I'm just not into the visual style of these newer SF games. I MUCH prefer the work of the old Capcom artists from back in the day

Reminds me a lot more of third strike now stylistically. Few tweeks here and there does wonders. Looks lovely, and sounds lile ot plays great too.

Third Strike > all other SF iterations
I'd like to see Darkstalkers getting a 3D sequel one day, but i fear we'll get another 10 Street Fighters before that happens.

Looks a whole lot better than SF4 to me, but I still don't quite like the art style. Actually, it now looks how I imagined SF4 would look back when i first saw that fancy CG teaser. I notice they went a bit more for the MVC look (which i like the best tbh), but body proportions are still all over the place. Ryu's skull looks a lot like that of Spongebob Squarepants, but oh well... Had hoped they would improve proportions a bit further than that.

Not sure how anyone could think that.

Those MMA gloves and the overall steroids muscle tone are plain awful though.

his muscle tone is pretty consistent with the likes of third strike. Not including the games artwork which looks nothing like his sprite. Lol. Dudes always been stupidly muscular in game.

Proportions were never really a street fighter strong suit, ryu has always been a massive armed, tiny heady, gorilla feet looking mo-fo

They could work on the font styling though IMO - it's kind of lack luster (even though that has nothing to do with GP)

You're right that he does look A LOT like in 3rd strike, but strangely i can forgive a 2D game that awkward look more easily than i can forgive it a 3D fighter because... uncanny valley much ? I don't know.

And ChunLi still suffers from elephantiasis, not as bad as in 4 but still... http://images.gamersyde.com/image_street_fighter_v...

Words simply can't express how hyped I am for this game. It's the first curent-gen-only title I've been unambiguously excited about.

E3 is gonna be a blast.

Gorgeous art style. Anyone still saying this looks like SF4 is either blind or bitter that it's going to stay PS4 exclusive forever. Nothing about this looks like SF4. You might want to go have a look at that hideous game again and realize it.

It looks really great, music is awesome and I love that graphical style behind them, when their names appear...cool. I would still prefer some damn detailed HD 2-D fighter. I really would like to see, how new VF would look on today consoles.

Regarding the art style that many are talking about here, this is a nice article with a relevant section somewhere in the middle that makes a great point:
