SQUARE ENIX ANNOUNCES MARVEL’S AVENGERS: EARTH’S MIGHTIEST EDITION, DELUXE EDITION AND PRE-ORDER BONUS DETAILS
Pre-Order to Enjoy 72-Hour Early Access, Exclusive Outfits, and Beta Access

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 13, 2020) – Square Enix® announced today that Marvel’s Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Edition and Deluxe Edition will be available alongside the Standard Edition on September 4, 2020. Further, players who pre-order any version of the game will receive guaranteed access to the Beta (at participating retailers), a Marvel Legacy Outfit pack, and an exclusive nameplate.

The Marvel's Avengers Deluxe Edition includes an exclusive Obsidian Outfit pack (six hero outfits), six exclusive Obsidian nameplates, and 72-hour early access.

Marvel's Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Edition features a full color 12” statue of Captain America. Designed by the artisans at Gentle Giant, this deluxe high-quality PVC statue captures every texture and detail on Captain America’s uniform. Marvel’s Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Edition also includes a copy of the Deluxe Edition, an exclusive SteelBook® case, Hulk Bobblehead, Mjolnir Keychain, Black Widow’s Belt Buckle, Iron Man’s Prototype Amor Blueprints, Kamala Khan’s Honorary Avenger Pin, a commemorative Avengers group photo, and 72-hour early access before the September 4, 2020 release date.

At participating retailers, those who pre-order Marvel’s Avengers will receive either a limited-edition pin set, patch set, digital comic book, or SteelBook designed by legendary Marvel artist Mark Brooks. The company also kicked-off its pre-order program today, which includes guaranteed access to the Beta, an exclusive nameplate, and a Marvel Legacy Outfit pack. These Marvel Legacy Outfits are inspired by moments from the comics that defined who each Super Hero was as they first embraced their powers to become the icons they are today.

In addition, players who pre-order their copy of Marvel’s Avengers from the PlayStation® Store will receive additional pre-order bonuses, including a Ms. Marvel “Talk to the Hand” emote and “Marvel’s Avengers: Hex Pattern Logo” dynamic theme. The exclusive Digital Edition on the PlayStation® Store includes an exclusive Ms. Marvel nameplate and 1,000 credits which can be used towards Super Hero customizations. This edition also includes 72-hour early access when the game launches in September. PlayStation®4 players can also play the beta first when they pre-order any edition on PS4™.

Marvel’s Avengers will release simultaneously for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC on September 4, 2020. The game is currently rated RP, rating pending by the ESRB.

Avengers, Embrace!

These character models look very weird. Specially since we spent over a decade with the MCU version of these characters. Thor is the one that looks the weirdest. Also, that "Marvel Legacy Outfit Pack" looks freaking horrible. Who ever thought that looked good needs new eyes! The Hulk one just makes me want to slap that person.

I love the these characters, the MCU movies, and Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider games, but this game just doesn't excite me in the least. Every time I see gameplay, it looks so generic and on-rails that it just turns me off. Hoping it turns out great, but none of the trailers has excited me so far.

PS. Off-topic, but this little indie game called Kunai has a trailer that features 10 times more exciting gameplay than anything I saw in this Avengers trailer:

The closer this gets to release, the more it looks like Anthem all over again. I'm seeing the same carefully staged footage over and over again. They haven't really shown how multiplayer works yet, or much of the story beyond the opening level. But they have no problem selling multiple editions and pre-order bonuses. I'm not spending a dime on this thing until I see a review.

Must be really nice believing that anything that doesn't prescribe to your opinion is wrong, mate. It must be like living in your own little perfect bubble, where everything is perfect - in accordance to your own definition of "perfect". I can imagine that can end up being really nice for you.

However, that leads to ignorance and arrogance, not to mention a delusional way of thinking that is absurdist/surreal and can be far from the truth at times. Like believing your own opinion is the absolute truth and that anything not in accordance with it is a wrong.

Again, I can imagine that something like that can make you feel really great, the problem is that to everyone else, they actually see the truth, that you're just dumb and stupid, with impossible narcissistic aspirations and delusions of grandeur/grandiose delusions and self-importance that you will never attain.

Me, I just enjoy the things I love and like, and ignore the things that I don't like or hate. It's perfectly fine to feel these feelings for anything, and I do mean anything. But just because someone loves something you hate, or hates something you love, doesn't invalidate either that person's or your opinions.

Isn't that wonderful!?!

So to reiterate, I do love Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider games, specially Tomb Raider (2013), Rise of the Tomb Raider and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - I've played them all multiple times to 100% completion and give each a 10/10 score.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is the best co-operative game of all time in my humble opinion. Every time I played it with friends and family, everyone almost died of so much laughter. We had so much fun that we had to stop quite often because we kept laughing so much that it started to affect our health. Out of the thousands of games I've played in my life, I can't praise any other game of doing that.

To add further, I don't just love their Tomb Raider games, I also love their Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver games. And while I don't love, I did have fun with their Gex and Pandemonium games back in the PlayStation 1 era, as well as their other Tomb Raider games and Blood Omen 1 and 2.

Crystal Dynamics is a great studio with an excellent portfolio. So I do love their games. You can either accept that and move on, or not accept that and feel offended by someone else's tastes. Either way, that's your decision.

Me, I'm just gonna focus on the things that I enjoy, because doing the opposite is the antithesis of life. Peace out, mate.

and while being complete shit tomb raider games. and that would be enough said. nice if these poor man' s uncharted in some ... oh open action killing sim starring CD's Laura Craft in others, are your cup of tea, but the IP is dead not just for the times we live but they put the nail in the coffin. The old formula could be done if not inthe hand of a studio with a mediocre vision.

so fuck'em. Enjoy your Dank Avengers, what can be said.

much love, breh.

Exactly. Even before E3 2019, the up in the air, confusing, online part of this game was talked about. Now, 8 months after the reveal, still nobody has a clue what the online portion entails. I already wasn't interest in the game since I don't like the developer who is making the game at all but the reveal with the vague nonsense of always online/not always online???, has made me run a mile even more.

This is the team that made a Tomb Raider game in 2013 and said they put a scene where Lara is almost raped because they want me to protect her and feel pity for her, some crap like that? Never touched that franchise since then. Also, when The Last Of Us Part II was shown at E3 2018, one of them said its fake gameplay? THAT studio? Yeah, I'm definitely not arsed with this then.

Square Enix is on to a gold mine with Final Fantasy VII Remake but this Destiny/Fallout 76/Anthem clone is going to flop big time.
