wtf aren't graphics suppose to get better in sequels... o.0 this looks worse than the first...or has MS always looked this ugly?

I don't like that blur effect. I hope they have fixed a lot of the stuff from the original game I didn't like. A better sense of speed, more camera views (a closer outside one at least), and extra modes and features, the first felt so barebones (especially because I bought the Japanese version).

Definitely worse than the first. Part of the reason being split-screen I imagine, just further proof you shouldn't compare MS to PGR4(3) or Uncharted to Gears...if you can't do splitscreen, you're conceding a lot so don't even bother, you aren't even pushing the same boundaries.

With splitscreen they can just cut details, drop a lot of stuff, cut the framerate, lots of options...

Basing a whole game around splitscreen is dumb IMO, because you're immediately sacrificing half the detail you could do (not in all ways, but some at least).

They should rename it Pacific Rim job, that looks awful.

I think it looks worse because this time there are more objects like trees, grass, bushes and houses, the firstone was more empty, mainly made with big mountains so it doesn't mean that thisone is technical weaker.

Guess I'm the only one who is psyched :)

I'll wait for actual gameplay videos before I complain.

Yeah it looks fugly. But 4player splitscreen ftw.

Hmm, dunno, why would the graphics be bad when it's a singleplayer thing we're seeing here. If you'd start split-screen, only then the graphics would get downgraded a little. Pff I'm sure this'll look wonderful in motion, I'll be sure you guys talk different when gameplay vid's come out.

There are a lot of them lately.

I didn't play the first game but judging from the screens there a lot more stuff going on that in the first. Quite a lot of objects around the track, I sure do expect it to not look as clean as the first game....

A lot can be said of these pictures, but ugly? Not even near. Buy some new glasses, complainers, 'cause the ones you are using don't work.

Worse? I think they look better. Besides, pictures never do a game better.

I'm going to miss going split screen (and meaningful solo) in the environments from the first game, but I'd be more miffed if it was just more canyons in 2.

Either way, Motorstorm is still a personal fave and they had me at split screen and better solo play with this.

To be honest they had me at "2".

Colorful to say the least, though I wasn't that big of a fan of the original Motorstorm.

Have to see it in motion, I'm sure the graphics will be great. The first one looked quite the part for it's time, definitely.

That said, Motorstorm must be one of the most lacking and boring games I've ever played. Didn't like the feel of it and hated the environment (yes...environment, not environments...big mistake imo).

I didn't say the graphics were bad (although, IMO it doesn't look anything special) , I said it looked worse than the original. I submitted that this may be because MS was a game that didn't take into account for SS play and this game is.
