This looks to be a great DLC, although the weaponry may be a little overpowered. Hopefully the ammo for those alien weapons will be in short supply, since it will be possible to board the spaceship even after the DLc story is over.

That trailer is very clearly from the PC-version.
How many expansions are still planned for the future?

Your loss for being cheap. All the DLC for Fallout 3 have been more than worth it.

While I hope you're correct (haven't played past vanilla FO3), I'm also sorta hoping there's some ultimate edition in the works post-DLC that includes the whole package. People complain about paying $60+ for games, but the *real* cost of DLC heavy titles far exceeds the initial asking price. I don't think it's much a matter of being cheap, as being thrifty.

Does anyone else think this looks ridiculously generic and cliche? From the 60's style "alien music" to the disc shaped UFOs and little "zapper" laserguns, all the way down to the aliens design. Is it supposed to be some sort of sattire on the whole alien theme? Or did the developers just completely lack any sort of creativity? I think Fallout is much too profoundly thought out and designed to be played as something so uninspired..

... unspired? Fallout3 is based on the "music/art/mundane stuff" of the 50s, so tell me, what is cliche using the 50's cheesy notion of Aliens/Sci-Fi for a small portion of the game?

The entire game is set around a retro 50's future, this fits into that world perfectly.

Yea I don't think you really get Fallout. As with most of the world, it's satire. You're totally not supposed to take it seriously.

? I know it's got sattirical aspects to it (like the pip boy and all the propaganda ads and things, even the theme itself) but im pretty sure its meant to be taken seriously, at least within its own element...but i dunno if your just being sarcastic or not.

it can be taken as seriously as any other ficional game or story, like Bioshock, or even a completely fantasy based game.

They will release a Fallout GOTY-edition in october which includes all seven dlcs.

This one didn't get too great of reviews, so it may or may not be worth purchasing depending on your Fallout 3 fanatic level.
