MK: Kratos Gameplay and new screens

Trailer Xbox 360 PS3

If you plan to buy Mortal Kombat on PS3 you'll get Kratos as a bonus character. Here is a gameplay trailer of the brutal Spartan as well as 5 new screens of the game. The 360 version will also have its bonus which will be revealed soon.

so retarded. Kratos would make sense in a game like soul edge where the swords are a main focus, but looking at the footage it breaks the game into GoW realms of 5 feet away constant blade button mash & air jugles.

Oh well, ... it's "Mortal Kombat", no loss here.

looks awesome. loved the demo which surprised the hell out of me considering footage looked like a mess, and with the 3D support and exclusive character that actually fits the MK universe well...PS3 version it is.

love the demo. I personally think Kratos will fit in well with the over the top brutality of the game.

Wonder who the 360 version will get.. cant see master chief doing it. Glad to hear its getting something though.. instead of the norm of just the ps3 version getting added content on the disc with these things

i guess that's what you get for not watching an entire trailer...lol

i hope it isn't marcus or the chief if there is a 360 specific character. they'd just look out of place, even though they're the most iconic.

nah, that could be his "vanish, appear at the other side of the screen" trick. like how sub-zero leaves behind an icey shadow, he can leave behind a cardboard cut-out...ha

I loved the demo, but I couldn't care less about Kratos. I guess he fits best, cause he's pretty damn violent in GoW games, but MK's violence is more humorous and grotesque compared to GoW's over the top violence.

yeah, i really like that they've made his appearance more then just a glorified character skin. this IS kratos. from the way he moves, the way he jumps, the weapons and abilities, the way he fights, the way he stands, even the awesome nod to the series staple QTE's. it seems like they genuinely cared about doing the character justice. and this video confirms that. can't wait to see his fatality and the level fatality.

Awesome find. Seriously, MK and God of War designers in the same room. Two of the best and most awesomely violent games evah!

Also, serious cool points for Stig and GOW team. They allow fatalities to be performed "on" Kratos and not just by him. That's how you RESPECT the world you enter and in return, they respect your character. Can't wait.
