MGS07: Two Naruto videos

MGS07: Two Naruto videos

During our day at the Micromania Games Show in Paris, we had the opportunity to watch a long demonstration about the solo adventure in Naruto: Rise of a Ninja, and we could also play the two-players mode, which is nice although a bit short on moves. The fighting video showcases different environments and characters. Concerning the story video, as the quests demoed weren't really interesting, I've decided to only keep the free running in the Konoha village, as well as the learning of a new power by Naruto.

Ubisoft is doing an amazing job on the game from what I've seen so far. Can't wait to play it.

technically it looks good (that water looks gorgous), the adventure mode looks fun, interactive etc

little bit sceptical in the fights especially the hand seal in the middle of the battle, i see it as bing an annoyance to some people

I could see that in the beginning, but I think of it as a challenge similar to what the characters face in the anime/manga. Eventually youll be able to pull them off easily, it just takes....practice. :)

There's a great sense of timing in the attacks with this game, something other games (Too Human, im looking at you) should realize the value of.

Looks seriously good, I'm wondering how this will do in Japan, assuming they have the rights to license it over there.

The area's seem huge, very impressive.

Doubt it would get noticed in Japan. People would just look at it and shrug as they are already well into their Shippuden games.
However, I can see this one doing really well in the US and Europe. Really looking forward to playing a proper Naruto game rather than the crappy Japanese ones (GC ones only being remotely decent).

The game isn't even going to be released in Japan oddly enough. The game looks extremely beautiful, but I'd honestly rather have the fights without this little battlefield thing and just fight in the "adventure mode".

This looks brilliant, it looks very close to the anime.
They need to include the japanese voices though or the option to switch off the english voices or i won't be buying it, the english voice cast sucks balls.

Whoa, look at the movement! And the hits! That looks amazing!!

koikoi, I bet for a ps3 that you're not Japanese. They never use 'omg', and they don't spell as good as you do.

I know plenty of japanese people online (some MMO i play) and they do infact type that good and use our net phrases (lol, omg, stuff like that)
so he might be japanese.

That's some generalization you've got going there.

Oh, and he has a .jp domain.. so I think you owe him a PS3.

I'm happy to see new movies from Naruto. It looks splendid. I seriously think this game could be very, very successful, even in Japan.

You think this looks good?

Well, anyways, I don't expect this game to fare well in Japan. I think everyone o'er there will be waiting for the recently announced Naruto game for PS3. I don't think they've settled on a name yet. The scans from Shonen Jump looked roughly on par with these though.

Yes i do, do you have a problem with that ?

I do think the PS3 version looks more authentic as i mentioned elsewhere, but that doesn't have the RPG aspect of this game, its more centered around fighting.

This games scope looks so much bigger.

As for not doing very well in Japan, your probably right as it looks like its not being released there.

*prays for Japanese voice acting*

Perhaps they dont' plan to have any voice acting, I would sooner have that, than the terrible US voice work they have for the anime.

Uh, there's no problem... it's just the graphics look pretty unremarkable considering the genre... IMHO.

How prudent of Namco Bandai.

*prays for Japanese voice acting*
Uh, why would they bother with a Japanese dub when it's not being released there? Asked and answered...

Perhaps they dont' plan to have any voice acting, I would sooner have that, than the terrible US voice work they have for the anime.
I don't think they'd be able to get away with that...

Has ubisoft confirmed this? i remeber this appearing a while back but ubi told then to remove that info from that page. don't want to get my hopes up for the original voice cast, because if they're not in the game i'd be crushed. am i overreacting? have you heard the american voice actors? heh
