Hopefully when it hits retail it'll be better.
For instance Lost Planet I really like the way it looked but the controls turned me down.
DMC4 very pretty game but in terms of action games it was such a step back from its predecesor IMO.
RE5 its one of the best looking games today and while I did enjoy it in coop with my nephew and I got 1000/1000 it was still not a memorable experience, amazing game yes but in coop.
I hope they make this right.

Is there a single player portion like in lp1 or is this game only multiplayer?
they seem to be focusing on co-op tho.
The focus on co-op however, is something that always grabs my attention. I'm one who finds few gaming experiences more fun than a well done co-op game. Especially the trend of "arena modes", as in Rainbow Six's terrorist hunt, Gears' Horde mode, Halo's Firefight mode, Uncharted 2's survival/plunder mode etc... all of those are some of my favorite gaming experiences this gen.
Pictures are awesome. I want this game now. ;(
On some close up scenes the game lacks in polys but it has some nice gfx and lots of action/explosions on the screen.
The demo is nowhere near as bad as people are making out.
The point of a demo is to attract lots of people to the game. It failed to do a great or even decent job at that.
- you can fight a boss which is some kind of an own level
- you have a lot of weapons, some only accessable by playing with one of the other charakters (I counted them, more than 18 including all teh grenade types)
- you have 4 VS available
- many shown coop features
- online coop for 4 players
- showed a lot of gameplay improvements
The PS3 Demo even has 2 extra levels or at least some short sections from 2 levels (+ the 360 demo boss at the end).
What do you want from a demo? A full version? What exactly was bad on the demo?
Some people just say its bad cauz all you can do is fighting a boss and yes, that's not really much, of course. But you actually dont need to fight him. There is no time limit. You can explore some really nice things (all the stuff I just mentioned above).
And if people are just on a rush, its not the games fault. For me it was one of the best Demo in 2009.

same goes for the dark void demo, sure there was a decent amount of content, 20 minutes long, various elements that make up the demo, from jet pack flight, flying saucer flight, on foot combat etc. but ultimately the demo was terrible, and so it isnt going to persuade anyone to buy the game, and thus, it failed as a demo.
And LP2 demo did a good job here, almost too much lol
And no, it definitely not failed, not even the dark void demo (altough I dont like the game). It failed because its the opinion from the players: You can like or dislike a game. And that's the moment where a demo becomes "bad".
A demo fails, if a racer, for example, just gives you the option for having a car and some tuning options but no actual race for testing out the driving pyhsiqs etc.
Well, there are a lot of demos out there who are not really fun to play because of the shortness or whatsoever, but the actual game is. A Demo is there to show some stuff from the (final) game. Its not the job of a demo for spoiling all the fun moments. A demos job is showing the actual features of the game you can expect - the core aspects and elements of a game. Bringing in some content is more or less a must have (in most cases you cant show gameplay elements without having something to shoot, drive etc.).

agree to dissagree then i guess. for me a demo is there to get you to buy the game. if the demo is crap (lost planet/dark void) then it isnt going to do that now is it?

And as I can see here, you dont like LP1:
i didnt like the first game and the sequel somehow feels even worse based on the demo.
That also means, you dont like this game and here is your reason why you not really enjoyed the demo (since Capcom "only" improved, not changed the game). And its your opinion, of course, I wont say anything against it. Its just that the demo never "failed" in terms of an overal concept as it sounds here sometimes.
If someone dont like something it doesn't mean everything is bad.
And this counts for the demo of LP² as well. And yes, I will buy the game cauz the demo was great, gives me all the little nice things I always wanted for a sequel and makes me looking forward to LP².
