Video PC Xbox 360

The Left 4 Dead 2 demo is now available to all those who preordered the game. As we know not everyone is concerned, we figured you might enjoy seeing what it is all about so we captured a bunch of exclusive videos for your eyes only. Big thanks to Kloneffekt - and Bertha who joined us at the end of the second gameplay video - for giving me a hand in advanced mode, it was certainly not a piece of cake. We will start with a video of the introduction of the game and of the first level of the demo. More videos will follow tomorrow so you can see the second level too.
Update 3: Last video added.

Wow - this looks great. Love the art style. Looks so much better than the first (which admittedly isn't difficult)

This looks really boring. I hope the rest of the game isn't like that but honestly Valve need to step it up that video made the game look easy as hell not to mention the horribly out-dated Source Engine isn't aging well at all. Just my opinion.

Also is it really necessary to here "reloading" anytime any character ever reloads.

That's too bad. First one was fun as hell. And this looks to be even better.

Is that pic from the PC version?

Of course any engine can up its texture res and polygon count but I meant more of the feel of it. IMO it needs a little more lifelike and organic feel. If they made the animations more fluid and maybe worked on the physics it would do wonders for the game. The physics haven't changed since HL2 while other games have surpassed them but I'll leave my judgement for when I play the demo though.

What rblaze said, animations and physics ftw. But still damn good animations for the zombies compared to pretty much all other such games (cough killing floor).

Funny thing though, this gameplay vid didnt make me want to buy L4D2, it did make me consider reinstalling L4D for a minute, but now i just want to play some more Killing Floor lol!

only thing that narks me about this game is you can just gun them down so easy, they should halfed the speed and made it so body shot bring them down but head wounds kill them, can wait play on pc though

Character models looks far better in Source engine than most other engines/games. I like the engine overall, but sure it could use some updates ;)

whilst i dont agree with this entirely, I have to admit their is starting to be too many zombie games/modes it's starting to get pretty stale, was fun when it was new though.

Looks like a nice step up from the first. However I found the first a bit tedious after a while, felt like each level was just a giant deathmatch map with bots. Hopefully this has more custscenes and interactive moments beyond blasting zombies.

With that said, Co-Op was great, as Co-op usually is.

It's from X360 version.
I have the demo and in a game like L4D there is no time for watching faces from some charakters (and the zombies aren't that detailed btw). The environments are ugly, small, almost non interactive and absolutely weak + out-dated.

They need a better engine.

But at least the action is cool :D

Yeah, Killing Floor actually frickin' rules. A mate showed me it last night and I liked what I saw so decided to buy it. I still think L4D is better, but you can't doubt its value for money.

the first one was REALLY fun (like the most you can ever have) for a month or two. Then the exploits really got to me especially in the versus mode. I think I would still be playing it if I had some decent steam friends but I don't so I uninstalled it.
