Images PC Xbox 360 PS3 Wii PS2 DS PSP

These days, when it's not some news about a racing game, then it's about football - or soccer if you're on the wrong side of the Atlantic. Some new images of Fifa 10 have indeed been released so here they are. They show what we could call the usual "replay shots" but also the "not so usual in Fifa in the past few years" training mode shots. The game is planned for release on October 2 in Europe and October 20 in North America.

What he said. Pleaaaaaaase!

Apparently a whole new mode is being revealed tomorrow, but I'm guessing that it's just this (create your own set pieces).

Given what Blim and Snoopy think of football/soccer, I don't think you can expect anything from them. ;)

I promise I'll do my best to bring you back some gameplay footage from Germany in August. Maybe EA will be kind enough to release a video before that (and maybe Blim will be kind enough to put it online if I'm not around :D).

In picture 4, Chelsea seem to have a lot of away fans at the Emirates - and not even in the right position either (the away fans sit in the corner, for those who haven't been). There also appears to be a fair few blue tops in amongst the Arsenal red.

Subtle details like that really bug me!!

Lighting is improved big time, and the overall look just looks a lot sharper than 09, which is saying something as 09 looked fantastic. What's more is that EA normally put in the graphical detail last, so expect it to look even better than this. How a next gen football game should look like, and from the faces as well, looks like they've improved them also. 09 was a brilliant game, but I expect greatness from this.

FIFA player models have come a long way. Now the models actually resemble real human beings instead of those super bulky on-drugs ones from a few years ago.

I also see that Chelsea are sporting their new brand of Robocop style body armour in the pic with Theo. Good. That will be Drogba well chuffed now that he has added protection and won't break a nail. Oh, and I notice that EA are failing to recognise that Chelsea wave plastic bin bags for atmosphere instead of actual scarves.

It's a shame that Liverpool don't have the same type of material for their kit. Stevie Me will break a nail when he topples over every few minutes. ;)

Why release close-up of faces when you know players look like lost zombies?

Anyway outside that, looks very nice and sharp.
I hope these really are PS3 screenshots as FIFA09 on PS3 wasn't as sharp and colourful as the 360 version.
Good to see improvements in all fields from FIFA for 2010.

Are you sure that's a FACT, Dingleberry? Perhaps we should ask Rafa... or is he still serving paella at the restaurant?

Hey, when your slogan is "it's in the game," you should strive to model the real life experience as closely as possible. for those of you who can, you'll remember that EA built its reputation in sports games on just this, so I don't blame you for faulting EA for these and other inaccuracies....even if they have no impact on gameplay....

FIX the damn online mode in FIFA 09. Cheating with dream teams and edited teams have gone totally out of control and all EA has to say is that we need to buy FIFA 10 to have this sorted.

Fix FIFA 09 or I wont buy FIFA 10. A game with less than 10 months of supports is unacceptable.

Defo. PES has been on the ropes since 2008. This is going to be the knockout blow... I have a feeling they are hiding something massive and waiting till August/Sept to reveal it.

Plus 360 dribbling > 8 direction

Looks fantastic, especially the training mode.

Not enough emphasis on the bra-like qualities of Chelsea's home shirt.

well the faces dont look too much like their made of plastic - in still shots atleast.

The replays have always been the worse part of fifa with their engine. I really hope the framerates rock solid during them this time.

Not that i'll probably shell out for this anyway. Fifa 09 was so good that i'd rather wait till next years fifa and get more "changes" for my money
