I hate the street punk design on this dude, too generic and boring, kind of reminds me of the Spiderman reboot.

Though I love the flaming whip, reminds me of Ghost Rider.

I hope E3 gameplay is interesting enough for me to care for it since previous titles didnt do anything.

Shitting so hard it's spraying out of the sleeves, lol.

Looks kinda "meh" tbh. Nice looking particles but otherwise i'm not very impressed.

Is that sub-surface scattering on the skin? I believe so. That would be pretty impressive when actually ingame.
Too hard to tell in those screens. Need some back lit screens. Wouldn't doubt it, though. What's grabbed my attention is the normal maps seem to retain the tiniest of detail. Check out the denim jacket in the XXL pic.

Well, i'd expect the tiny little boost in ram to allow for quite the jump in texture quality, so no surprise there :)

It's also tiny in comparison. I'd need to see this in motion really. It's not blowing my mind, i just hope in motion it looks better then watchdogs.

Yeah, I thought we did already see those. Maybe they were just small when we saw them?

Not at freaking all. Poor textures, very low resolution (less than half as many pixels being rendered) and I'm not believing ANY of what we see of major "gorgeous" PS3 games these days. I've seen Beyond AND Last of Us looking like, to be blunt, complete shit. Jagged, blurry, and low resolution textures. It hasn't been consistent so I'm not sure what to believe about those games until they come out. Even the good looking stuff we've seen hasn't looked better than this though. Not in any way.

Can you tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few bullshots in your time? /sarcasm

Anyways, this is just a reminder that i need to play infamous 2...i mean, i did buy it when it was $60 and played a grand total of like 15 minutes lol

I know it's early days, but it looks like we may be getting into diminishing returns next gen. For all those extra GPU cores, the jump in visual quality is small.

Also, why must every Infamous main character look so obnoxious? They all look incredibly punchable.

With this game, considering they already where pushing a great character model in I2, I think you'll notice it with draw distance (ps3 versions where pretty foggy) civvies and cars on the street, particle effects (pretty vital for a guy who controls smoke) and general improvements to textures, physics and post work. Models will be the area of diminished returns (especially with racers), thats doubly true if games start adopting tesselation to smooth edges.

You may be right as far as game models, textures, and effects go, but I believe the changes will be very visible in other areas. With the new architecture of next gen consoles, I am hoping for things such as much improved physics simulations (cloth/hair/softbody/destruction), lighting, vastly improved AI, framerates, and things like draw distance and pop in.

I would take the above improvements over super-mega-ultra resolution textures and super-mega-ultra poly models any day. That may mean that screenshots will only look like a minor leap, but the actual game will play and "feel" next gen...
