Awesome, can't wait to get my 360 back a little over a week v.v

Edit: Have they said if awards for avatars are retroactive? Are old games going to give them too? Will that be a patchable thing?

Looking good. No major change in terms of visuals but I like the Games on Demand and avatar additions.

That'd be too much work.

All I want and from what I read many others do, is for them to fix the speed of the NXE. My download anything experience goes something like this.

1. Browse to the Arcade Section.
2. See Monkey Island.
3. Select Monkey Island.
4. Sit there with a 'Wait' icon on the 'Featured Downloads' window for around 30 seconds. Buy game and Trial game are greyed out.
5. 30 seconds or so later Buy becomes available.
6. Wait some more.
7. Trial becomes available.
8. Select Trial.
9. Wait another 30 seconds before some text appears.
10. Select download.
11. Wait 10 odd seconds and the download starts.

It's just lame, the old dash was as fast as anything. I notice that when I downloaded the KOF trial it was super quick, but I got two errors, so didn't get the big background picture or something else.

I've reset the cache, there's not a lot else I can do :(

The speed of the dash is supposed to be fixed with this update though. Or some update anyway, they have been working on the issue at least.

Indie games, cool. Games on Demand, cool. Being able to rate content, cool.
Cool stuff, but in most of the screens i failed to notice anything new :D
Also i have to wonder, when the FUCK are those of us in Europe / Sweden ever getting Video on Demand?? Netflix? Hello? Can we get any kind of update on that? Its supposed to be one of the main selling points of the 360's out-of-game features, yet we STILL havent gotten anything like that in the several years the 360 has been out ^_^

I know, copyright issues. Stupid movie publishers and blah blah legal stuff.
I dont care, copyright can go kiss my hairy ass for all i care.
I guess ill just keep torrenting until they fixed their legal squabble and actually want to accept my money.. lol ironic isnt it.

And Fujisawa, i agree, though it definetly does NOT take 30 sec, more like 10. Still too long for a bunch of text and small icons though.

@ Baleur,

It actually takes most of the time several minutes for me to see "all downloads" for a certain game to load..It's crazy and there for I almost never download something because it makes me sick of waiting. It started right after NXE launched. With the blades I didn't had any problems. I've got 20/3 mb cable, ports correctly forward. The strange thing is that I got another account on the same console and when I sign in on that account the same downloads popup immediately?..I tried it at my brother’s house same problems so it got to be account related..

It definatly takes 30sec and over on mine to load up the text from the demo/video you just selected so you can download the thing. One of the worse things about NXE is how damn slow it is from the old dashboard when getting demo's.

If you don't care to acknowledge the issues at hand you really don't have any say in it. Sure, ultimately you're the end user and shouldn't be worried about all the legal crap. But at the same time, you can't just turn the other cheek and give shit about the facts. Don't understand the rules, don't
play the game.

Furthermore, I don't really see the reason for all the bitching, when Microsoft already announced that the relaunch of the video store will bring more countries to the party (Sweden among others). And expecting Netflix outside of the States is just stupid.

everyone should have netflix. That stuff is just plain awesome.
Couple it with Hulu, and I only need TV like 2 hours a week.

I agree and I don't understand why they are holding out on us, the market here must be just as ripe as in the US? I mean, licensing and stuff like that should hardly be a problem if they just got the f*** to it.

Europe is not America. Microsoft is an American company. Therefore will not care about Europe. Simple.

Another way of looking at it is that Microsoft is a company, a company has profits as the #1 priority and if said services are profitable in America they should probably be considered for Europe as well. That aside i should think they'd want to establish the 360 as a media platform as well, it'd be in their own interest, especially with the new line of Zunes coming out and everything, but if i guess correctly they won't be available in Europe either.

In a globalised world that doesn't make any sense.
