Images of Luxor 2

MumboJumbo released these 20 images from the Xbox 360 version of Luxor 2, to be released on Xbox Live Arcade. The series have been pretty successful on the PC, and a PSP version was released last year. It offers over 85 maps, so at least if will have alot of content. The achievements were released some week ago, so it might be up for a release in the upcoming weeks.
Update: The game was just announced as this week's XBLA title, with a price tag of 800p. Wednesday release as usual.

I have no idea how this game is going to be played. I still want it. Graphics look pretty sweet and I'm a sucker for puzzle games.

Well look at that- the achievements are actually achieveable. PopCap should be placed on notice.

This is a must-have for me.

This game was what inspired the creators of Zuma

Instead of a rotating frog in the middle u have a paddle in the bottom of the screen that u can move left or right and shoot coloured balls with.. when u shoot a ball off the same colour to a chain of the same colour the balls dissapear (just like Zuma)

I still think this game is way better than Zuma is...

Just played it from MSN.com and yes is exactly like FireWire says , is exactly like Zuma , the only difference is that there's no frog.

Still fun game. there's also a visual upgrade on Vista.

what the f*** ??!?

well, here we go again - NO Catan this week . . . ...

I wonder why they let us wait this long for a title, that was supposed to be released until the end of March?

I imagine it'll gain the same audience as Zuma despite being identical in many ways. I'll give it a look as puzzle games go down well in my house.

One condition though. If there's a sharpshooter achievement I may have a tantrum.

You sure about that? Zuma is pretty damn simular to Magnetica, I've always assumed that PopCap pretty much stole that game and reskinned it. They're pretty shameless.

Makes me want Luxor 2--because I like Zuma--but it always sorta bothered me that they're so shameless about making these clones. It was okay back in the early 80's, but I sorta expect some degree of originality out of people in this day and age.

That's true but i was a fan of Luxor on the PC before Zuma and i still think Luxor is a WAY better game.....
