Horizon Chase, the tribute title to 8 and 16bits arcade racing games shows some gameplay today. Developed by indie studio Aquiris it will first be out for iOS in August but a PC version is planned.
Outrun, Chase Hq and Victory Run all rolled into one! Looks great.. pity its pc only.. would be a nice pick up and play arcade title. I wish Sega would do a full anniversary type arcade racing collection.. a bit like Rare Replay only with the classic arcade racers.. Outrun series, Daytona, Scud Race etc.. will never happen though.
Now we only have boring serious racing games without soundtrack, new racing games devs are clueless, save us Aquiris and bring this to PS4, the only good arcade racer now is The Crew cause you race in crazy locations and the original (in mission)music is awesome, I hope Disney release Split Second on PS4.
It's kinda funny how OutRun 2 and OutRun 2 Coast2Coast came out almost ten years ago and were badly reviewed despite being great AAA games made by the same devs who actually made the 1980s Arcade hits at Sega.
This is all 1980s racer...probably people think early 90s cause of SNES thats good too.
