I'll certainly be using those functions as I work up to playing the "Purist" difficulty.

Harder is fine. But conviction was DESIGNED for use of mark and execute. Where it funneled you into confrontation. Sure you could ignore the mechanic, but you'd have to break the way the game was designed to do so. I don't want a single instance of that in this game. I want to set it to hard, and do things my way...the old way...the better way.
