Images Xbox 360 PS3

Here are some screenshots from Hard Corps: Uprising. The Konami's title is a prequel to Contra: Hard Corps, released on the Sega Genesis/Megadrive in 1994. Due out next month on both PSN and XBLA, the game will offer a cooperative mode and several other game modes.

I doubt it will be out next month on PSN because every time MS does one of these promotions the games in it have to be exclusive for a certain amount of time

Doesn't look much like the 16Bit (or the PS2) Contras , which may be a problem for some people though it looks very cool I'd say. Totally looking forward to this and BC:RE2 in february. Just hope, that the controls get a bit more responsive in the final game. They felt a bit slow in the demo.

They went from Western sci-fi art design to Japanese anime art-design? Odd.

Totally looks very much like Contra Hard Corps, art direction aside.

Um no, not really. While this has very vivid colors, bright graphics and the world overall looks very much intact and vivid, the Genesis Contra had a very gritty graphics style with dark colors being the dominant ones and rubble and destroyed buildings everywhere.
I'm really very optimistic about the game and like the graphics very much, but the style obviously differs from that of its predecessors. Comes closest to Contra 4 graphically which also was much more colorful than the 16Bit and PS2 Contras.

Did you not read the whole sentence or something? I'm not talking about the graphics. People are way too caught up on the visuals.

Oh boy. Then why on earth did you quote my post, in which i was actually only referring to the graphics? Not very smart if you didn't want to jump in on that subject...
