Tomorrow everyone will be able to download the Gran Turismo 5 "demo" that is supposed to promote the launch of the GT Academy 2010. We got a chance to get it in advance so here is a first video showing a replay of the Nissan 370z Tuned. Another replay video will be up today showing the cockpit view - which has gotten a bit more dynamic you will see - but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see our exclusive 60 fps gameplay videos. The videos have been captured in manual mode and using the Fanatec 911 wheel. Enjoy!
Update 3: Last 60 fps gameplay video added with the tuned Nissan 350z.

The track and the car will be included in GT5.
The physics engine is GT5's.
So they can say pretty much all they want, it's still a demo of the game somehow, no matter what's still missing. It's too easy to say it has nothing to do with GT5, implying that the game will be so much better. Either they release something they think is worth showing and they don't look for excuses claiming it's not the real thing or they don't release anything.
Sure, GT5 will also feature car damage and probably tons of other stuff but publishers keep saying that what is shown in demos may be perfected in the final game. For once, we can say it's true. :p
As to whether it's a demo or not: it depends on the individual- if you like racing against other cars, then this isn't a demo for you. If you have a decent FFB wheel or are pretty good at driving in Pro mode using DS3 (or -shudder- a sixaxis), then you might want to try out the new physics (but no offense wheel is the real deal).
I know that these real world tracks are boring and look bad compared to ficticious ones, but look is so sterile and mono textured. Even still the king of graphics, PD acheive that more by the use og a better replay system and cinematic effect, than real evolution of engine, that i give props to turn 10 for closing the gap. AAA games allaround.

To coin a phrase.....meh....
Obviously the final game's going to look better when on the more imaginative tracks, will it look as nice during gameplay as it does during the replay modes? no... no racing games do.
I gotta admit i find it amusing though that those all too happy to paste poor quality screen shots of forza 3 are now defending till the bitter end the poor quality screens that acompanied this "demo"
Its gonna be so awesome!!! cant wait.
how come, could you please elaborate?
Also, demo # 20 and the crappy tire sound still there.
I guess even Gamersyde is now officially infested with the fanboy cancer. "Yay! Time to put our Xbox-branded blindfolds on and talk some shit! Bashing GT5 is okay now, just look at these bland graphics! Everybody knows that tires make no sound at all! Even though Sony said this doesn't represent the final game, we don't care! We judge an entire game by a non-representative demo! Without having it played ourselves, of course! And also, let's try to make a pathetic attempt at being funny by saying there have been 20 GT5 demos so far!"
I know what you guys wanna say now, I'm acting like the perfect example of an overly defensive PS3 fanboy... but I'm not pleased with the way PD is handling this as well. I also wish that PD would have given us a real demo that represents some kind of a final build. To be honest, I think the graphics don't look up to date at all, while it would have been very nice to see first-hand how good GT5 will look when it's released. That's obviously not the case and a good reason to be upset as a Gran Turismo fan. But the way YOU react to this, makes me think that you are just happy to have a reason to talk shit about GT5.
