Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands is back with a few new images, and more importantly a long gameplay walkthrough showing some nightly stealth action.
I love these kinds of gameplay videos. The game does look fun, its also nice to hear youll still be able to time your shots with teammates even if playing offline.

Looks good, but not sure if it will deliver.
A reskinned Far Cry? I don't get that impression at all.
In terms of the games ubi already make, it definately has a lot in common with it, that meets the division.
I think it looks like it could be fun though. The division minus the shit. Shame it's doing another ubisoft though and looks absolutely fuck all like it did when it was revealed. They really need to know their limitations before revealing games.
I think it's maybe less like The Division than some of those other games. It's not doing the RPG and loot stuff, and I haven't seen any MMO-isms or PVP gameplay yet either. Unless that's the shit you're talking about. But I think it kinda makes them different enough. There's probably bits of all of those games in Ghost Recon though. I think you're probably all right.
I don't care if it's Ghost Cry: Solid. It's lookin good.
i might buy this, got like 600 hours out division, though like Grift said, would like see if there is loot or what, dunno if i can just play with default gear, think that would get stale quick
I bet that stuff is more like other shooters. Like there will be progression but probably not near infinite grinding and leveled stats and stuff like The Division or Destiny or whatever. It obviously has a campaign.. if that's meaty enough that might be enough for me anyway. If there's stuff to keep you entertained beyond that even better.
First of all, they shouldn't have named this game Ghost Recon. I will buy it, because there is a nice freedom of doing things, real weapons and interesting setting...BUT, since they call it Ghost Recon there are many things, which are bad choices. For example....helicopter with position lights on? OK. Leaving it there after the mission? Much better result for the cartel to have a Blackhawk instead of a few stupid rebels. Clusterfuck of icons on HUD, I hate it. This will be the first thing to turn off. Tracers on sniper rifle ammo in a stealth operation? Thank God he has a suppressor. :-D And what the hell is that strange smoke trail behind the round fired by a sniper? Looks like he is shooting missiles. Just another example of former hardcore game, which was dumbed down for wide crowds to play. Let's have some special gadget, revealing every enemy on the map. Wow..what a fun to play. We have such a beautiful engines, which gives us great tactical choices, but we just waste it for this silly approach. Ghost Recon was always hardcore as f*ck. I just add it to Rainbow Six Siege disaster. Again...it's very nice game, it will be fun, but please, don't call it Ghost Recon. TBH...Far Cry looked more tactical to me, than this.

R6: Siege is a disaster? It's the best Rainbow Six in like 13 years.
You should probably play ArmA or something, but you'd still find plenty of stuff to nitpick.

I agree. I play such games, but they are all about tactical this and that and in the end it is not. It is a beautiful game, but this really doesn´t require any effort to finish the mission. I will wait for release and I´m sure I will buy it, but these are just things I´m concerned about. I will check the Siege again, but I really didn´t like the whole idea. I expected to be something like SWAT. I know a lot of people like it, so....no hard feelings.
Siege is great, and I'm not trying to deny that the franchise has changed. I do think there's a bit of an entitlement angle here, but I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it. Ubisoft owns the brand and they could make Pachinko games under the Ghost Recon banner :)
I don't agree that old Ghost Recon was really that hardcore to begin with.. especially if we consider stuff like GRAW (2006) "old Ghost Recon."

I meant the times like Rainbow Six Rogue Spear, original Ghost Recon...even GRAW on PC was really hard. Well...in the end it´s just a stupid game, so we are sort of wasting our time here.
I never played the PC version of GRAW, but it was a completely different game than the Xbox version, which was pretty bad in my opinion. Siege is absolutely a multiplayer only, modernized Counter Strike clone, and that's okay. It's still one of the better examples of its genre.

I will skip since it´s MP only, but I´m glad You have fun with the game.

No. It's the best R6 since Raven Shield. That's just like, your opinion. If you don't like it, okay... but you're nitpicking.
But seriously... you should check out some things that are actually trying to be simulators.
Ghost Recon has been casual fluff since GRAW. This looks better.
No chance, Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow, Rainbow Six: Lockdown & Rainbow Six - Critical Hour were far better than Siege.
Siege is decent'ish but it does not compare to those games above/older Rainbow games. It's a twitch shooter in sheeps clothing with a million gadgets for the casuals to use so no brain power is needed to work out where the enemy is for yourself.

However it's either going to be a repetitive grind with predictable A.I. or a clusterfuck with randoms (I don't have any friends).
It did make me want to keep a closer eye on it though I must say. That was great to watch.

I just also criticize shitty criticism, which often leans on poor argumentation like hyperbole or in this case, ad hominem.
It's not everyone that's always wrong. Just you!
