They are putting these games out too fast. They do it every year with different companies and they can never really work on the game engine, improving it much. Looks like every other CoD released over the past four years. They are pretty much milking CoD like it's a Guitar Hero or Tony Hawk now. Time to give it a break, guys...we're getting fatigued of the same old, same old.

With Rage running at 60 locked, this level of detail is pretty dissapointing. But it looks better than MW2, so I'm not too bothered.

No. No it does not. It looks like shit past a couple of character models, and you damn well know it. Even at the maxiest of max settings on PC, it looks bad. There is a reason it runs at 60fps.
fps??? why is that the most important?? Granted it makes for better gameplay and visibility, but at the end of the day, if you make a piece of crap, no matter how fast you run it, it looks like a piece of crap. Its like taking a VHS rip and running it 1080p. We need more work on detail, then run that at a hi framerate...
PS. FEAR 3 was running at 100fps...
Lighting and texturing looks bad, especially in regards to other upcoming games(Rage, Crysis 2). As others have said, the lack of time in development doesnt allow for the dev team to really upgrade anything engine-wise. It is basically just copy and paste from last years game. Not that it effects gameplay in any way, but it would be nice to see a new COD that doesnt look exactly like the last, visually.
I will still play through single player, though. Probably a rental as MW2 was. I am not big into multiplayer and the 6-8 hours of gameplay will hardly be worth the $60. God bless Gamefly. :)
Well come on now, it's alot more than a simple copy and paste... ALOT more. And the devs do get time to work on the engine, they have in every iteration. I think COD looks really good, and I don't see what is so bad about these pictures.
